Can't edit nodes (clicking 'save' just redisplays edit page)

I am running a newly installed D6.6. Suddenly, and suddenly I can't edit any nodes. I am running as admin (user 1). When I click edit, I see the edit screen, but when I click save, the edit screen is merely redisplayed. I've tried disabling YUI wysiwyg editor, to no avail. I tried different browsers, to no avail. I tried logging out and back in, and I tried emptying the sessions table. I installed devel module, but still wasn't able to discern the cause of the problem. Any advice about what might be happening? Thanks, Bo

managing other users' profiles

I am building an informational site with a community component. One of the components is a directory of service providers. We want it to work like this: We compile a list of service providers and enter them into the database. A service provider may request an account, at which time they are permitted to edit their record in the database. They should not be able to edit any other content but the specific record that belongs to them. This is how I set it up: I created a cck type for the record. Each service provider has an account on the system, to which they can request access. Then I used nodeprofile, pageroute, and registration account types to set up the permissions and the workflow. On the whole, everything seems to function as expected. When someone registers for an account, they are passed along to their account, where they have a link allowing them to create their profile. If their profile already was created for them, then they can edit it. The problem is, I want users in an 'editor' role to be able to create these profiles and assign them to users. But I don't want "Create your..." links to show up in their account. That is to say, I have to give the editor create and edit permission on the profile type, but I don't want the editor to be able to create a node of this type for themselves. I'd be content just to have the link removed from their account page, but I don't see a way to do that -per role-. As it is, everyone with create permission on that type gets it listed in their account page. Is there some other way I should have gone about this?

getting rid of "soandso's picture" text

I'm using Drupal five, building a theme off of Zen. I want to optionally display a user's picture in posts, so that if the user has uploaded a picture then it is displayed, and if not then the teaser view shifts left to occupy that space. So I turned on pictures in the theme configuration. But now, where there is no picture available, I have a "soandso's picture" link. Specifically: I want if( $picture ){...} in the .tpl.php file to evaluate to FALSE if there is no picture, TRUE if there is one. How can I get this behavior? Is there a theme override that I'm missing?

continuous trigger on comment being viewed by authenticated user

I recently upgraded my site to Drupal 6-6. I am seeing a strange behavior with triggers, for the event "Trigger: When a comment is being viewed by an authenticated user". I have created an e-mail action and assigned it to this trigger event. Now I'm getting dozens of these events in a 24 hour period reporting myself as the %username, even when I have not been on the site in quite a long time. So it appears it's reporting events that do not happen. Has anyone seen this? Is this /op error or a bug, or worse, someone else hijacking the site, etc? Any ideas how to track it down? Front page showing up where it shouldn't.

Hi, I've been putting together a drupal site, and have got it pretty much working, but I've decided to add an Ubercart store to it, and the images aren't working. I've got all the appropriate modules installed (and have used the old versions that are listed in the documentation just to make sure that I wasn't choking on some sort of version incompatibility), and when I go to upload an image for a product, completion of the upload produced a PHP error popping up in a dialog box. The text of the error is exactly the HTML source of the front page of the website. On top of this, I get a little grey rectangle where the image should be when I look at the product, and attempts to open the "image" in a new tab, or copy the location and download it (e.g. with wget) simply produce the front page (or a copy of it). All that said, the file does seem to have uploaded, since I can find it in the files/ sudirectory of my drupal directory when logged into the server (and downloading that file with scp shows me that it's actually the image, and not a copy of the front page). There are no entries in the webserver logs relating to any attempt to get this file (attempts to get it just seem to get logged as successful attempts to get "/"), and Clean URLs are enabled. Possibly (but not likely) relevant is that when I was originally putting the site together at http://test.domain.com/ , quite a few queries got redirected to the appropriate page on www.domain.com. This problem went away when the site was finished, and got moved onto www.domain.com to replace the old site, but not the sort of finished that leaves me feeling very comfortable. Also, I don't know if this is normal behaviour, or if it's buggy (and possibly connected to my main problem again), but when I make changes to the site, I tend to get dropped onto the front page instead of where I might logically expect to end up (e.g. when I submit changes to a node, I'd expect the page I see after pressing the "Submit" button to either be the node in question, or some sort of success message, or perhaps the node being edited with the success message bolted to the top). Anyhow, I'm hoping that someone here knows what's going on here and can suggest a fix. Permissions problem: edit page content

Hello, I have a role called "site developer" that should be able to edit any page, but for some reason they can't. On the access-control page (admin/user/access), this role has the permissions "administer nodes" and "edit page content". So users with this role should be able to edit any page, right? I am running Drupal 5. Ten minutes ago I deleted everything in the node_access table and inserted the following line: INSERT INTO {node_access} VALUES (0, 0, 'all', 1, 0, 0) I have the taxonomy-access module installed, but I'm not using it for page nodes. Any ideas? Is it safe to run "rebuild-permissions"? I don't want to lose what I just gained by editing the node_access table. Thanks for the help. Daniel.

Need a module for user blocking other user.

I am in need of a Drupal module which will enable all authenticated users to block other users. Like the feature in Facebook and Orkut.This feature is required for a social community networking website which all content (audio video photo document) uploads. Users can't access content

Hello, I was using the "taxonomy access" module but I decided that it doesn't do what I want, so got rid of it. That is to say, I didn't delete the categories, but I set them to not be used for "Pages". Here is my problem: Some pages are now inaccessible to anonymous users. When you go to the page you get an access denied error. I'm getting stressed about this because my users are mad and they want to show their pages to other people. I have gone to the regular permissions page (admin/user/access) and under "node module" the permission "access content" is activated for anonymous users. I don't know what to do and I was hoping someone here had an idea. I'm using Drupal 5 btw. I would welcome any help. Daniel.

I've created a new block and assigned it to the left side bar.
