Creating Simplest Instructions for Updating Single-Site D5 Site -- "delete sites directory"

I'm trying to figure out the simplest instructions possible for someone doing a point release upgrade on D5 (e.g. 5.6 - 5.7) who will not be doing it from CVS. (I couldn't find it in the handbook a page which specifically describes point release upgrades, I guess I missed it?) My question is, Is it appropriate to recommend to someone performing a site upgrade that they should just delete the sites directory from the fresh distro they downloaded? So the entire instructions would be. 1. back-up db 2. back up drupal directory 3. download tar ball 4. Untar tar ball 5. delete sites directory from fresh untarred drupal directory 6. Move all files and folders over to drupal directory on your site. 7. When FTP client says "okay to overwrite" say "yes" for all. Let me know if this is correct. Thanks, Shai

CVS Update to my Drupal install didn't work

Drupalers, I'm new to using CVS for checking out Drupal. I just tried to update an installation that I had installed via a CVS checkout. Via the command line, and in the drupal directory, I typed: cvs update -dP I was pleased to see some messages from the terminal that led me to believe it was a successful update. But after it was done, my site was still 5.3, like it was before the update. Based on my limited knowledge of CVS, I think the problem might have been with my original CVS command, which was: cvs -z6 -d:pserver:anonymous:anonymous@cvs.drupal.org:/cvs/drupal co -r DRUPAL-5-3 drupal Is this essentially impossible to update since I explicitly wrote 5-3? Should I just have written Drupal-5 to get the latest version of the Drupal 5 branch which would then be updatable with the cvs update command? Do I need to start over with a fresh CVS checkout? Would this be the correct command: cvs -z6 -d:pserver:anonymous:anonymous@cvs.drupal.org:/cvs/drupal co -r DRUPAL-5 drupal Thanks for the help. Shai content2zero <http://content2zero.com>

Location(s) in Teaser

I would like to remove the Location(s) in the teasers of a view for a particular content type, but there doesn't seem to be a setting to do this. I am looking at http://www.crocodyl.org on the left hand side under "Featured companies". I would like to show just the teaser and the title. --ian--

So check the issue queue and get a feature request in for this if there isn't one already. Michelle

How to use feedapi view module

Hi all. I need to create a view from feedapi "node" in tabular output where field are "date (created), title and feed rss name". I have view, feedapi, feedapi view active module. My problem is how to get the "feed rss name value". There is nothing about feedapi in the edit view forms other than "Parent feed" that Is not good for me (this is a integer value but I need a string). Any help is wellcome.
