I18n questions and troubles

Hello, I have some basic questions about i18n module, hard to explain, so there is a basic use case : I have two languages, french (fr) and spanish (es); I have to translate every node to both language (so I use the "translations" tab to create and link nodes from both languages),; I have only one big menu, which is translation enabled (so one entry for both language, but translated); Let's say I have a french node: "node/XX"; and its translation in spanish: "node/YY". The question is, when I go to path "fr/node/XX", my french node is displayed, but when I switch to spanish, cliking the spanish language switch link, my new path is "es/node/XX", does the i18n module automatically switch the displayed node to "node/YY", or does I always have to manually switch the path to "es/node/YY" ? The problem behind this is my menu is the same in french and spanish, so when I click on a spanish entry from the menu, the path will be the french node's path, but prefixed with "es/", but my french node is always displayed, which is not what I want... moving site from Drupal 6 to 5 (reverse upgrade)

I have a site (www.kidsplaytunes.org) that was recently set up, just after we installed D6, so I set it up in 6. But given that some important modules are not yet available for 6, I was thinking of moving it back to 5. How hard would it be to do that? The main (CCK & Views) mods for 6 are due out in beta any day, but a) I don't know if that will be everything we'll need, and b) that means using beta mods on a production site. KPT is currently not using any contrib mods at all, so the only customization is the CSS, and the content is pretty minimal. My sysadmin says "we could try to go back, but I don't know how compatible are the database structures between 5 and 6." How advisable and or difficult would it be to do this, or am I better off just trying to wait/work ith the D6 modules as they come out? Views incorrect default order

Drupal's Audio Module and Accessibility to Screen Readers

Hello, I've been trying to set up the Audio module to run on my website. I'm currently using Drupal 5.7. However, I have discovered that the built-in players that ship with this module are inaccessible to screenreaders and therefore, as a blind user, I can't access the audio that I upload, nor can any other blind visitors to my site. I am particularly looking to add audio posts to my blog. My question therefore, is there a way that the audio module can instead generate a playlist file like an m3u file, that would open in the user's player of choice? Kind Regards, Stuart Lawler.

Problem with file upload

Weird mysql error when creating new forum

Drupallers, When trying to create a new forum, I get this error: user warning: Duplicate entry '10' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO term_data > (tid, name, description, vid, weight) VALUES (10, 'Sellers Forum', '', 4, 0) > in /home/cmp/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172. Why is Drupal trying to run a query to insert info data into the term_data table? I'm adding the forum at: example.com/en/admin/content/forum/add/forum (the "en" is for English, I'm using translation module). As usual, any help would be appreciated! Shai

issue with forums and my template

I'm using the drupal efficient theme located here: themesnap.com and whenever i try to go to my forums page, it crams it in the far left column but leaves the two right sidebars on. Book.module: Different title and menu entry?

Hi, I need to create different titles (descriptive) and menu entries (short) for nodes of the content type "Book"; if possible, I'd love to have a description for the node, additionally (to be added to book outlines, explanining what this "chapter" is about). Basically, I would need exactly the functionality of the Menu system (hierarchical structuring, menu title, different node title, description), combined with the features of the the book module. Example: Catalog of CMS software; * Book node title: "The Content Management Framework Drupal" * Book menu entry: "Drupal" * Book node description: "This Chapter explains the concepts and features of the FLOSS framework Drupal and it's us as a Web Content Management System" ** Book sub node title: "Features of the Content Management Framework Drupal" ** Book sub menu entry: "Features" ** Book sub node title: "System Requirements for installing the Content Management Framework Drupal" ** Book sub menu entry: "Requirements" ** Book sub node title: "License for the Content Management Framework Drupal" ** Book sub menu entry: "License" [...] That should result in the following book menu structure: * Drupal ** Features ** Requirements ** License ** ... Opposed to that, the book outline should read something like: * The Content Management Framework Drupal - This Chapter explains the concepts and features of the FLOSS framework Drupal and it's us as a Web Content Management System ** Features of the Content Management Framework Drupal ** System Requirements for installing the Content Management Framework Drupal ** License for the Content Management Framework Drupal I can not use the menu system for this, since I need (a) context sensitive sidebars with navigational elements, (b) table of contents nodes that give an overview about the nodes-to-follow that should be created automatically; (c) add book page functionality for users that don't have access to work with the menu system; as far as I know, the menu system does not provide these features. Also, I noticed that the management of large menu trees for the site's content tends to make administration of the "normal" menus very slow. Currently, I'm getting more and more nodes with non-descriptive short titles like "overview", "features", "literature" that become useless in Search results and similar functions. Is this somehow possible, e.g. with a contributed module or some CCK magic, or can Drupal simply not do this (yet)? Thanks a lot, -asb

Nodes with multiple categories show up more than once

Hello, I've got several views on my site (drupal 5.7) and with all of them, I've got a problem I just can't figure out. I have views that are set to show any content of a certain vocabulary name. So, I have a filter for the field 'Taxonomy: Vocabulary Name' with the category I'm interested in selected. I then have the sort criteria of 'Node: Sticky' and 'Node: Created Time'. The problem I have is that any nodes I create that have multiple categories show up once for every category it has. Prefill body textarea at node creation

Hi, Is there a module that has functionality similar to contemplate, but instead of modifying the teaser/body after the node creation and during the node's display, the body textarea is prefilled with the text of my choice? What I need to have is when a user visits the node/add page, the body textarea must be prefilled with text that has been set somewhere in the administration area. For this particular application, this text will be a pair of signatures and since there will be a number of nodes using these signatures, I figured out that a good solution was to have the body textarea prefilled with the appropriate html snippet.
