Having FAPI I'd like to avoid to use $_GET directly. I've a form that display the result of a search. The technique is similar to: http://jeff.viapositiva.net/drupal/dynamic-forms or http://www.lullabot.com/articles/drupal_5_making_forms_that_display_their_o… the trick is that $form_values are still available... but 1) it seems I can't use get method 2) not being able to use get method, if the result of the form contains a tablesorted table, once you sort the table clicking on a column despite the fact the values are all in the url... $form_values is empty. Of course I could use $_GET array in place of the $form_values array... but this miss the use of FAPI (validation, token...). Is there a neater approach? Well, I figured out the answer to my question by looking in the code for the _form_validate() function in form.inc. For those interested in the resolution, I hadn't unset the $form['nice_menus_number']['#options'] setting in the form, so it was still using the items in the select list as validation parameters. Once I added this line unset($form[$form['nice_menus_number']['#options']) to my form alter function, it worked just as I wanted. Since it's using the default system_settings_form() function, there isn't a maximum value set somewhere. Plus, the default value is being set correctly when the form is initially displayed. Can anybody explain why a select list works, but a text field doesn't? Thanks. Steve

Forum topics not posting

I recently enabled the core Forums module, and somethings not working quite right. Users are able to click the "Post new forum topic" link, successfully fill out the form, and submit, and the results DO show up in the "Administer > Content" area, but do not display in the forum itself. It still claims there are 0 topics and 0 posts. It appears that the posts are not being assigned any category, although I would have thought that would have been taken care of by the node/add/forum/38 link used to post them. Drupal 6.2 / PostgreSQL 8.2 installation failure

multisite

Hi all, I have a multisite setup that works great. It allows me two different sites using one Drupal core codebase just as promised. It works better and easier than redirecting to different domain names using Apache Virtual Hosts. However, I have one issue with it. When I create a symbolic link, in the sites folder, for each site (i.e. sitename linked to sitename.domain.tld) so that I can visit it not only by sitename, I am directed to a different site in my browser. In my browser, when I go to http://sitename and log in, then visit http://sitename.domain.tld I'm not logged in! But they're the same thing, one's just a symbolic link to the other! Create filter's view usefull only for exposed filter

Hi all, I have a content type with a select's CCK field type and this "select list" is created via PHP Code (runtime)) . Now I want to create a view and use this "select list" for one of my filter. My need is that when I call the view for the first tyme, this view must return me all node, like if I have selected all fields/values of this select . My problem is that Drupal expect that I select one of the item of "select when I save the new view, so it does not permit me to save the view because I have not select any filed of this select. Broken CCK Module

On a normal site when I go to http://xxx.org/admin/content/types/audio I see the links: # Edit # Manage fields # Display fields # Add field # Add group Or something like that, depending on which CCK modules I have. However, I have a 'broken' site that shows: * List * Add content type * Fields * Export * Import which is more like what I would expect to see at the URL http://xxx.org/admin/content/types On the 'broken' site I indeed see those same links on /admin/content/types CCK (5.x-1.6-1) is of course enabled, but this site has a LOT of modules, including one custom one. This is what CCK says: Required by: Asset Manager (disabled), Content Copy (enabled), Content Taxonomy (enabled), Content Taxonomy ActiveSelect (enabled), Content Taxonomy Autocomplete (enabled), Content Taxonomy Options (enabled), Date (enabled), Date Copy (enabled), EMail (enabled), Fieldgroup (enabled), Image (enabled), Node Reference (enabled), Number (enabled), Option Widgets (enabled), Text (enabled), User Reference (enabled) I would think that next debugging step would be to disable CCK, but that requires disabling all those required mods. I am a bit concerned, however, that if I disable them, something may happen to our data. Any advice as to how to proceed? This is not my site--I just inherited it and need to work on it. I suppose I will make a backup and do my debugging idea, but if anyone has another idea, let me know. :) Thanks!

[OT??] Jquery 1.1.2 or 1.2.3

Hi all. I'm creating a new portal site for one of my client, and I need to use some jquery functions. But which version of query ? 1.1.2 or 1.2.3 ? With drupal_update module I can upgrade from 1.0.5 (drupal's jquery default) to 1.1.2, but it is avaible the new 1.2.3 version. I have see that some drupal's module requires 1.2.3 version, but does Drupal 5.7 support this version ? Passing a whole PathAuto category path into a View URL

This is quite a complicated one. I have a Vocabulary, "Location". It is 4 levels deep. (country > state > county > town). I have attached it to three content types: page, story, blog. I have used PathAuto on the category paths to dynamically alter the URLs to this pattern: article/[catpath-raw], which gives me URLs such as: article/united-states/texas/kent-county/jayton I attached one each of the Page, Story and Blog content types to this town and I go there and get a listing of 3 nodes. Perfect. Now, what I want to do is to create a View to be able to go to: article/united-states/texas/kent-county/jayton/blog to see ONLY the blog entries article/united-states/texas/kent-county/jayton/page to see ONLY the page entries, and so on ultimately, I would like to go to article/united-states/texas/kent-county/jayton/page/1 to see on UID 1's page entries for that city. But one step at a time... :-) The problem: how do I pass all of that cat path to the Views URL? I set up a View with first argument as "term name" and second argument as "node:type" and I set up the page URL as "article" so if I then go to article/jayton/blog, it works perfectly...However, if I go to article/united-states/texas/kent-county/jayton/blog, I get a Page Not Found as the "term name" is only passing the last part of the overall catpath (i.e. jayton) to Views, not all of it. How can I pass all the catpath into the page URL? Is it even possible to do that? Thanks in advance. Neil
