Suggestions how to organize Navigation menu

Hello to all!! I would like to ask for some suggestions how to organize Navigation menu on my web site. This is situation: I have two main areas, two categories, called "Group 1" and "Group 2". From each of these categories, goes several sub-categories, called "Sub-group X". Now, from these, goes several 'pages' which has content. This could be the picture: -Group 1 -- Sub-group 1 --- Page 1 --- Page 2 --- Page 3 -- Sub-group 2 --- Page 4 --- Page 5 -Group 2 -- Sub-group 3 --- Page 6 My question is: what "Group", what "Sub-group, and what "Page" should be? I was thinking to use: Container -> Category -> Static page, but I'm not sure would it be a good choice. I've tried this, and it worked, but I would like to know is there a better solution. Should I use Category -> Child category, instead of Container -> Category? Thanks in advance!!

duplicating emails, why?

Well, I don't know if I'll be able to explain this. I have two modules, the logwatcher and the notify. Logwatcher send reports about log of my website, while notify send updated contents via email. The problem is that for the first 4 5 days, it is ok. Then, I and other users start receive 2 copies of the same email. But now I'm starting receive 3 copies of log! I think the problem is with cron, because these modules use cron to send email, have you any idea how could you help me? Thanks.

Images only show up for administrator

Problem: I use the image module (and its submodules like image import and image gallery) along with flash_gallery on my site. Since I upgraded to drupal 5.7 (from 5.something), only the administrator can see any images. Everyone else gets a frame where the image would be, but with an X instead of the image. It's the same for the image node itself, or the images when you enter through the image gallery. When I look in the logs all I see is this: Type access denied Date Wednesday, April 9, 2008 - 15:48 User Anonymous Location http://removed/home/system/files/images/filename.thumbnail.jpg Referrer http://removed/home/image Message system/files/images/filename.thumbnail.jpg Severity warning I thought it was maybe a linux permissions thing, and I tried a whole bunch of different options between changing ownership and permissions, pretty much making ignorant changes to my files directory and everything in it, but no matter what I did, I did the anonymous user could not see the images. Today I realized that if I go to: admin/settings/file-system and change from private (the way I always have had it), to public... the anonymous users can actually see the images again both in the individual image node and the image/flash galleries. The only problem with this, is that new stuff I add when the filesystem is set to public mode, doesn't show up anywhere for anonymous users. Not just empty frames like before, I mean it doesn't even display on the page. At least when the filesystem is set to private, I can see the picture is there, i just cant see the picture itself. Does that make sense? This seems to point even more towards an issue with the drupal access control rather than the file system permissions. (BTW, drupal does see the files directory as writable) The only other peace of relevant information is that a week or two before I upgraded to 5.7, I did install the image_gallery_access module, however the site was working fine until I upgraded (i think) Any help would be much appreciated. The worst part in all of this is that I messed up my backups so I can't just revert back. I did try reverting back to the old drupal code, but this issue followed me. I am once again on drupal 5.7, with the latest database schema, and EVERYTHING except the images seems to be working fine. -Seth

Hi, What's the correct way to do this? I already have a search_box in my themes and don't need the extra search form. I can live with the search form as long as the extra text doesn't appear -v

How to move a Drupal site below the domainroot

I have issues getting file attachments as well as images and absolute links to work properly when moving a Drupal site. It appears that system/file is stored with settings property per node in the database, rather than replaced when node is being displayed. After looking through the forums I wasn't able to find any postings about how to fix this issue. I believe this is only a problem when using Drupal's private downloads, rather than the public downloads setting. Adding Block in a page

I was googling for how to post a block in a page, can came across some php code <?php $block = module_invoke('couloir_slideshow1', 'block', 'view', 1); print $block['content']; ?> The aim is to show the slideshow in a page/story But its not working. I checked the slideshow standalone, and it works, however in the block it does not. I also don't under stand the "number" after 'view'. What is that supposed to mean? How to move a Drupal site below the domain root folder?

As part of a Drupal 5.x to 6.x upgrade, I have moved my Drupal site to a folder below the HTML root level of my server, so now it's at public_html/drupal6 instead of public_html as before. Now the site stopped working beyond the front page: users can login but cannot logout, all links display an unthemed front page, and so on Can somebody explain the required configuration of .htaccess (for the domain root and the drupal6 folder) and settings.php so the site works again? I think I have already tried everything in the handbook and readme :-( Thank you in advance -- Albert

Private file downloads not returning correct mime types

When attempting to download files using the private file system, most files are displayed in the browser as text in Firefox and IE (Safari does not express this behavior). The HTTP content type header is "text/ plain". Acrobat files (.pdf) seem to be unaffected by this behavior. The correct content type is present in the database (files). How to translate a value entered in CCK field into something else on the page

I am using the following in my node-blog.tpl.php: <div class="blog-image" style="float:<?php print $node->field_image_float[0]['view'] ?>;padding:8px;margin:5px;"><?php print $node->node_images ?></div> and giving users the chance to float the image to the left or right. And it's working fine on my English site but now want to give the same tools to my Italian site users. I could just use "left" and "right" and explain in the help text what each of them means, but I would prefer to use the Italian words sinistra/destra and then use some conditional php to transform that into left/right on the template. Is that a complicated thing to do? Neil
