Hello, Is it possible to assign the ownership of a node to another user upon creation. The node creator chooses who to assign the node to. James

A Module for the Citysearch Search API

I've just now created a forum post http://drupal.org/node/809594 on this topic. All my fooling around with Ajax, AHAH and curl have paid off. I have a functioning module that uses the Citysearch (CityGrid) Search API. I daresay it won't meet all the standards for contributed code as I've never contributed a module before. I would like to spend more time on styling it and error handling, too. I would also like to include the two additional APIs available from Citysearch. If there is any interest in this please let me know. It would be nice to get feedback before I actually add this to my production site.

Purging records from history table

Is there a process in Drupal to automatically purge records from the history table? I wrote a query to show me forum postings that I haven't viewed. Everything was clear on Friday but on Monday many of my (uid) records were missing from table "history". -Tim

Post to external url

Hello everybody, I'm a beginner with Drupal. I'm trying to post a drupal form to external url. I'm using form_alter hook but when i displaying the post variables on my destination page nothing appears. In hook, i wrote this line $form['#action'] = myurl; myurl display on the browser correctly. information on organic groups

Hello, I'm working on a website that will hopefully be utilizing organic groups og forum and og notifications to build a community between my company and our clients. I'm having some issues getting the exact functionality i'm looking for and would appreciate some resources or information if you have it to share. I have organic groups/forum/notifications setup and running but i'm having issues getting notifications to work as I need. what I'm looking for is private groups that members get auto subscribed to when they join and notifications are sent as follows 1. When new content is created for the group I would like the users to be notified which seems to be working properly. 2. When users post in the forum or reply to a post I'd like for notifications to be sent based on users preference. ( immediately or daily or weekly). should work with the addition of OG subscriptions but will happily take any other suggestions on setting this up 3. When users are invited to the group both user and group admin(s) get a notification, which is where I fall apart. Reading notifications it appears that this should be working, but neither user or admin get a message when a group admin adds someone to the group. scouring the web over the past few days has returned basically nothing in they way of setting up notifications with OG which leads me to believe this is either an obscure request or something really simple I'm overlooking. If you can point me in the right direction I'd be truly grateful.

Hi all, I have a content type "foo" and users in the "bar" role. Now I need to permit to these users to create "foo" nodes but only 2/month. How can I do this ? Is there a module ? trying to get the attachments div to be permanently open

I was looking through the thread here: http://drupal.org/node/227339 the problem I'm having is that when I add this to my theme's template.php: // Open the file attachments collapsible block in a full state function phptemplate_node_form($form) { $form['attachments']['#collapsed'] = FALSE; return drupal_render($form); } the attachments div is open BUT the main submit and preview buttons disappear. Any reason why that function should be interfering with the node form's submit and preview buttons? Neil

jQuery.ajax returns 404

I'm still experimenting with a new citysearch module. I've managed to fetch back the json with curl but I'd still like to let ajax handle it. I have this function but it reports a 404 error. Is there a way to determine the url value actually being sent? The generated value I'm using here works both with window open() and with my curl function. how to set pagename for frontpage

I am having diffculty with internal links within my site, my front page is populated by the drupal blog amongst other things, but i dont seem to be able to assign it a pagename ie index. in site information, i can only put node as my default front pagename, it wont accept blanks, nor will it accept index.html, index.php. by having node it means some of my links to the home page are mydomain.co.uk others are mydomain.co.uk/node how can i fix this? (drupal 6)
