Drupal site breaks with MySQL collation-server option

Hi everyone. This is doesn't have to be significative, but I've noticed that my Drupal 7.15 test site reset every connection attempt if I put this directive in my.cnf (MySQL config file): collation-server=utf8_spanish_ci Reverting the change of course brings back Drupal to its normal behavior, but I wonder the reason of that situation. Any ideas?? This is solely for learning purposes not for production settings ;) Many thanks in advance!

make title not editable

In Drupal 7, I'm using the Node Clone module to create copies of nodes that get assigned to different users. I'd like the user who gets ownership of the cloned node to be able to edit anything except the Title. Is there any way to make the title field not editable by the owner of the node? I tried creating a new CCK Title field and then used Auto Node Title to populate the default title field with this new CCK field. I then used Field Permissions to only allow specific roles to update that CCK field. It works great except when the node is cloned, any special characters in the CCK Title field get character encoded. Original node title: Conjunctions "et", "mais" and "ou" Cloned node title: Conjunctions "et", "mais" and "ou" Any ideas? openlayers_proximity module contextual filter

Hello, I am having trouble with the openlayers_proximity module 7.x-2.x. I just cannot get it to show up in the contextual filters of views. Does anyone else use this module? If so, i think the problem might lie with the versions of geofield or open layers. Which version are needed to get proximity as a contextual filter? Thanks a lot in advance! Christian

Help in using Location module

Hi everyone, I have a content type that should have a Location field. But, instead of the user filling the location for every item, I would like him to only choose a location from his own list of pre-defined locations. I've managed to create a string field that allows the user to choose from his list and contains the location ID. The problem is that in this method Drupal doesn't recognize it as a Location-type field, and therefore all the advanced options like displaing on a map are not available. I've thought about two methods to solve it: 1. When the user create the node, he will choose from his list, but Drupal will save it as it would save a node with new location. 2. The data would be saved in the same method I'm using now (string field with the ID), but somehow I will tell Drupal to recognize it as a location. Not really sure which one is better, and I don't know how to implement either one. My Drupal version is 6. I hope it was clear enough. If not - I will try to explain again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot, Daniel

i18n languages switcher ignores exposed filter post vairalbes

Hi, I have a site with a main search filter based on views exposed filters. This is a multilingual site. After a search the uri looks like: http://www.iltam.co.il/listing?type=All <http://www.iltam.co.il/listing?type=All&term_node_tid_depth_1=All&term_node _tid_depth=31> &term_node_tid_depth_1=All&term_node_tid_depth=31 when using the language switcher to switch language the links are like so: http://www.iltam.co.il/fr/listing any idea how I can add the post variables so that they stay when you switch language? What does disabling users do?

Actually "Deleting" an account has options under configuration->account settings, but "disabling" an account's only option is sending an email. I've been trying to find documentation on what "disabling" actually does. >From what I've seen so far, disabling an account makes it: unable to login. Anyone who views their profile gets an access denied error, and all of their content remains untouched. Is disabling an account pointless unless it's used as part of the "deleted account" options that also gives you control to unpublish content? With that said, is there a recommended module for finer tuned controls when deleting the account (for example, unpublishing some content types, but leaving others in tact) Thanks Drupalers!

book module alphabetizes by default

Is there any way to keep the book module from altering the order of the items entered within a book? I'd like the items within the book to display by post date instead of alphabetizing by title.
