OpenLayers layer weight

Hello, I'm using Drupal 7 and the OpenLayers module. Evertyhing works fine, but the selected weights for the layers aren't relevant, if a popup for one layer is used. So I want to change the weight of the layer, which is used for a popup, because another layer should be rendered on top. Is there a way to control the weight of the layer, which is used for the popup? Cheers, D. Stroeer

I hope someone can help me with this problem because I am not sure where to look and if its a server things or a Drupal thing. I cannot login into Drupal with any user. If I try and login the site does nothing but reload. It does not even give an error message. I got this error message once " "*PDOException*: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in *lock_may_be_available()* (line *167* of*/opt/ee/hub.ee.com/includes/lock.inc<http://hub.ellerslie.com/includes/lock.inc> *)." Wouldn't you agree that, as this is a well documented flaw during development, Drupal could better handle cache instead of passing it off to the developer who in my experience, doesn't need caching until final testing. Surely it could be a simple core process to empty cache on each save, an automated housekeeping matter? Roger

Field N/A value

I keep running into this annoyance, so before I write more code, I thought I would ask. I set up fields with multiple values (e.g. lists, booleans, etc) and it keeps adding a "N/A" value which I have never told it is valid. How do I get rid of that? Nancy

Weird Profile2 Problem

I'm headed for an ulcer over this one. In my profiles, I have a field for the user type (Staff, Consultant, etc). "View user profiles" and "View any profile" are both granted to authenticated users. Users who do not have "Administer users" permission get access denied viewing any other user who is not "Staff." But they can see "Staff" users without a problem. Of course I first blamed my own code, so I disabled my custom modules. Still happens. If I disable Profile2, it still gets access denied. I do have Organic Groups, but not og_profile2, but it shouldn't care about one user over another. And even one user in the same group gets access denied. Search D.O hasn't helped. Has anyone encountered and solved this? Nancy

Sub-theme

I am starting to think that "what you mean by a sub theme" is not what we are helping you with. We are advising on creating a subset/variation of an existing theme. I think that you simply wish to create certain changes to a base theme by creating a folder containing those changes and nothing more. As an example, say for instance that one of your requirements was to change part of the css or maybe one line of the page.tpl.php of a base theme. You, ideally, just want to have those bits of code in a file and have it read by the base theme. You wish your changes to be displayed as a choice in the [Appearance] list. You cannot do this! The [Appearance] system reads a pre defined structure. To do what you want means redefining that structure in core and due to the inherrent dangers, no one with any appreciation for the developers would contemplate such unless there were a distinct community need. A theme is a theme is a theme. It may be a subset but is still a variation of a theme reqiring certain components which are acted upon by the core system. May I suggest that you study the Zen system of theme/subtheme. It can give you an underlying tone of how and why. On thinking more deeply about this, I can see merit in such a proposal as Drupal would need only 2 themes, Admin and say Bartik. One could possibly over ride tiny parts of the base theme to create an entirely new look and feel. Such things are possible in Ruby on Rails if one wanted to learn. So, how does Drupal become aware of the custom sub-theme? </snip> I'm lost as to why you want to do this, because what you want doesn't make sense but here goes: Drupal default core reads core themes, if theme not found reads /sites/default/themes/ Ok here's what I did just now!. Created /sites/all/themes/Bartik_cfm folder. Underscore not hyphen, explained below! Copied bartik.info over to this folder, renamed it Bartik_cfm.info Copied stylesheets[all][] = css/layout.css to the Bartik_cfm/css and renamed to stylesheets[all][] = css/local.css Deleted everything in the .info file except: name = Bartik_cfm description = Yadda Yadda Yadda stuff about the copy. package = Core version = VERSION core = 7.x stylesheets[all][] = css/local.css version = "7.23" project = "drupal" datestamp = "1375928238" Notes: -- If the Theme name has a hyphen it will not work - It seems to require an underscore. -- Underscore is a recognised variable name separator in php, ruby and other languages, hyphen can be interpreted as a minus sign. Avoid hyphens in names and terms. -- The last 3 lines are required in the info file or it won't work (for me). Don't know why! Hope this helps Roger
