Users can't edit own account data

So fed up with Drupal 7

As the subject line says, I am getting rapidly disenchanted with Drupal 7 but there are no valid alternatives. The problem: <Administration><Structure><Content Types><Select any content type> <Edit> WSOD. No error messages, no log messages, no way to isolate what may be the problem. There is no way to enter the edit mode of any content type in my system. This started with 2 content types and now since I switched on Book module, is all of them. Switching off Book module has no effect. Problem exists with the site copy on 2 different operating systems. What puzzles me is that WSOD is only for edit selected content type, everything else seems ok. I have a basic mysql database, mayo theme fully updated drupal 7 core and 43 additional modules. Been having this problem to various extent for over a month. I suspect it may again be a php memory error but have no way of knowing. Have ini_set() to 128M in /settings.php, have memory_limit in php.ini set to 128M and in this Fedora 16, at least do not get the dreaded php memory error mentioned in my previous emails. Is there any way to ascertain exactly what may be causing the WSOD or is it simply a function of the way php works. I notice that php reads the config files on startup but not again unless restarted. could the problem be caused by memory overload through php, I'm grasping at straws here. I would appreciate some understanding on what's going on and how to resolve it. Many thanks Roger

Prepopulate contact form on node submit

Hi folks, I need to redirect to /contact on submit for a particular content-type. I need the form populated with the node title and absolute URL from the node just created. Can anyone help me get started on how to approach this? Thanks in advance, Shai Gluskin

Best practices for stage <--> productions

Hi, I have more than 10 years of web admin/dev experience but I am just starting with drupal. I am about to set stage/dev environment for the first project. Both production and stage are Unix(Freebsd), I have full root access. What should be the best practices I should follow. So far I found these: (1) http://drupal.org/project/drush_ctex_bonus (2) http://community.aegirproject.org/ What do you advise for best practices ? Nice to have, but not a must is to be simple for the web developers e.g "press button sync": i.e they do not need to contact for export, they do not need to go under ssh and use git/svn. Problem with running Drupal 7 on Addon domain

Hi to all! I created an account with shared hosting company using domain e.g. "maindomain.com". My friend actually has two domains (two different web sites) and I instaled 2nd domain as an addon (let's say addondomain.com). I installed on both domain Drupal 7 with success. But, when I try to access to addondomain.com I would get "403 Permission Denied" error messge. I contacted hosting company and the guy from tech support said it's because .htaccess from maindomain.com doesn't allow access to addondomain.com. I remember I had once installed Drupal 6 on "main" domain as well as on addon domains and it worked just fine. What should I do? Thanks for any help, LAMP �

Dear list, i want to filter links to external sites while the content is saved. Only links to the local domain should be allowed. Is there a module available to add such a feature (it can also be a white or blacklist)? Thanks Matthias

Drupal not logged in problem

DEar All, I have something weird. I have been trying to fix the logo and edit the content of this page: polam.org/sprig. But when I go from this page http://polam.org/online-banking to aforementioned page (by clicking the more link at the bottom of the sprig box on the right bottom) I am suddenly not logged in. I mean I don't see the admin menu and no possibility to edit is presented to me. That would maybe explain why the header pic is different on the 2 pages. But where have I landed in this?
