Dear all, I want to send articles to different clients from feed channels, one client a feed channel. In the article there will be a check box decide which client should receive this article. Any suggestion for the module? After googling, I find this RSS Channels module, now I have problem to get Media (missing), Ns_article (missing) module, I searched for Media, there are many module name media, don't know which one to use, and I can't even find where is Ns_article. Drupal 7 catastrophe

As I understand it Drupal loads all modules and the current enabled theme, (or maybe all the themes) on start up. More modules = more memory, even though many modules are on call, not used in development or production except in certain rare circumstances, for example norequestnewpass, newsletter and it's associated modules, nat, mailsystem, autonodetitle, backup_migrate, devel, and all workbench modules, just to name a few. For one of our sites, 43 modules in all. Most of those exist only to solve issues introduced by other modules. Because the Mayo theme does not easily lend it'self to newsletter creation I installed LayoutStudio with intention to build a suitable theme. Now here's the cruncher. I had ini_set('memory_limit','-1'); as an experiment in settings.php to overcome the dreaded memory allocation error. Development of the new theme went ok until for some reason, out of the blue, Drupal suddenly started consuming all of the pc memory and 100 % cpu processes, grinding the machine to a halt and running the hard drive red hot. I rebooted, emptied browser caches, ran "drush cc all" in the drupal directory, drush ground to a halt, taking 7 minutes to clear caches. Rebooted, ran mysql TRUNCATE on the cache tables, but on opening the 127.0.0.1/myfile, within 3 seconds all memory was used and the pc virtually stopped. No pages open. Mouse and keyboard also virtually dead. Rebooted again. In settings.php I put ini_set('memory_limit','128M'); and the memory allocation error again displays, will not open the site, now fails to to allocate 72 bytes, no matter if I set it at 32M, 64M, 128M, 512M or 1024M There are no helpful error messages in the system, in /var/log or/httpdor in the php_error file generated by php. I believe Drupal has written something into the database because if I use that drupal system with another similar database the error is not there. Seems to be because we were developing the theme. Are there any known issues with Drupal module LayoutStudio? Google is of no help about XCache or eAccelerator but said something about installing memcached which I did but that's no help. My other Druapl installs seem to work fine. Google reports that when the memory consumption error occurs the only recourse is to delete Drupal and the database and rebuild from scratch. Roger I would love to solve this but am perplexed where to look and what to do. Thanks in advance Roger

I found out, that the redirect module works as expected when activated correctly, the book-page has to be moved from within the "edit-environmen" just moving the page to a different chapter from the "outline" tab does not adjust the path. So with pathauto redirect transliteration when using the token [node:book:parents:join-path]/[node:title] paths are rewritten to reflect the order of chapters / book-pages and when moved from within the book-page edit, a redirect from the old location to the new location AND a new path alias are created. This is wonderful. The only thing missing is to include that same behaviour in the "outline" procedure.

Ubercart shipping

I have a testing site, where I want the "shipping options" to be: Pickup by customer ($0.00) Delivery within 10 miles $25.00 Delivery up to 25 miles $45.00 I have set up these in the "flat rate" module. However, the Pickup by customer option does not show up at check out even though I can see it in the flat rate options. I even tried to make it $0.01 because I though no cost might not be acceptable. Still does not show. I still get a box at the bottom of the shopping cart where it asks "Estimate shipping costs" and the customer is supposed to fill in the zip etc. This is total nonsense, since delivery costs are fixed. using real path aliases

Hi, I had trouble generating path aliases for nested documents. I am creating a book within my site and I want the pathauto alias to be generated with the path reflecting the chapters, for example I have created a page: example.com/book Now, when I create a subpage of book (e.g. the chapter: introduction) I want it automatically named: example.com/book/introduction when I go there and create a subpage acknowledgments that I appears the alias example.com/book/introduction/acknowledgments and so on, ideally, when I move a page between chapters this would also be updating the path alias. any hints for that? I have installed transliteration and pathauto so far, when I use the pattern for current path: [current-page:url:relative]/[node:title] it creates something like example.com/nodeaddbook/acknowledgments So I used the wrong pattern, it should have been: [node:book:parents:join-path]/[node:title] as replacement pattern, this can be found under the alias settings: /admin/config/search/path/patterns content > book... So this works. Now when I decide to move a page between chapters I have to do it in the edit tab and then move down to change the book outline, if I was going to move the page with the tab "outline" above the page (next to edit) it changed the automatic alias to fixed, so the path alias won't reflect my page move. This behaviour is good for keeping links working. The better solution would be to automatically create a redirect to the new page, so let's see what happens when adding the redirect module here... although I have set the module to add a redirect when url-alias is change this did not affect the automatic change when moving a page. Also the url-alias does not change when I do the move from the outline tab above my book-page.

installing drupal on netgear readynas nvx business edition

Hi, Has anyone ever did this? If so would you be willing to lend me a hand on getting what is required installed? I did look in the ad-ons and I do see a drupal ad-on, but am not sure what else I need to do other then install the ad-on. there are no instructions I could find. Thank you.

Beginner question.

Hello everybody, I am beginner with Drupal and I would like to create a simple CRUD (Create Read Update Delete) application. What is the easiest way to do that? I have database with several tables and I like to create some forms to create, read, update and delete from there. In the other side, I have installed Form Build CRUD and so on but I do not know how this module is use. Thank and sorry for my easy question.

Very disappointed, frustrated and concerned Drupal 7 problem

Ok I thought I had it solved but no. The error occurs Only when I try to create a new Content Type in Drupal 7, both in my local install in /var/www/html and on the remote server, which tends, I feel, to mean it's a fault in my apache system but I do not know where. The strange thing is that no matter what I change the error remains verbatim from both systems: *Fatal error*: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16142054 bytes) in */var/www/html/mysite/includes/database/database.inc* on line *2139* Varying php.ini memory_limit merely changes the (tried to allocate 16142054) up or down a small amount. I have searched through the whole system, /var/log..... and everywhere else for something that sets a limit to 134217728 bytes. I do note that there is no /etc/php5/php.ini in Fedora 18 even though it is mentioned in documentation. This error seems to be all too common, with hundreds experiencing it with php, joomla, Wordpress and Drupal. There's a bug somewhere that's been ignored for years. Thanks Roger
