I must say it is incredibly frustrating to me that there is no decent documentation for a lot of things in Drupal. There is no where I can go to read step by step what I should do to set up a Gallery of images as Cesar described above or a slideshow, as I have tried to do: successfully it seems but I have no idea how I did it. http://www.tony-mac.com/drupal/waldo#overlay-context=portfolio_view <http://www.tony-mac.com/drupal/waldo#overlay-context=portfolio_view> All I did was define a new view and entered the title and suddenly I got a slide show of all content, with my attempted Gallery Formatter content types mixed in. Looking at it in Firebug, there's an error in line 9 of jquery.plus1.js: jQuery('.' + Drupal.settings.plus1.widget_class, context).each(function () { The error is given as "Drupal.settings.plus1 is undefined". About upgrading to Drupal 7

I have set up our new site on Drupal 6 with CiviCRM for our membership. However, since we aren't live yet, and won't be for a month or so, I wonder if I should upgrade everything NOW to Drupal 7 so we have that all done? Any reasons NOT to do that? I believe CiviCRM works on Drupal 7 now, right? We also want to have a shopping cart, and it looks like using Drupal Commerce in ver 7 would be better than Ubercart in ver 6, right?? Or not?? Why would an upgrade to the Plus_1 module mess up some (javascript?) pull-down menus?

I have been slowly working my way to finding which module update had caused this problem, finally found it today, updating the Plus_1 module from version 6.x-2.6 to version 6.x-2.7 breaks the pull down menus on this site. The working site is:- http://www.globaloptimists.org/ I have a copy, with Plus_1 updated to 6.x-2.7, at:- http://globaloptimists.isbd.net/ As you can see the menus at the top are permanently pulled down on the updated site. Can anyone suggest where I should be looking to see what is causing the problem? It's not urgent as I'm quite happy to leave Plus_1 at version 6.x-2.6 for the present. -- Chris Green

Hi all, sorry for a very stupid question .... I have successfully set up COD on a local machine. I can access the site now on 127.0.0.1 .... but ... I'm not able to login once more to edit the site ... :-( How can I do this? sorry for asking ;-) Manfred

Portfolio page suggestions in Drupal 7

Hello, I am working on a site for a client (construction) and they would like to setup a portfolio page to display some of their work. The goal is to list all the jobs he's worked on and somehow show pictures for some of the jobs. Ideally I would want the following format: Title Description Image floating left or right of the Description The obvious choice is some sort of image gallery, but as I am still fairly new to Drupal, I want to know if there are some better choices. importing database into qa environment collides with production

Hello Drupal, We have a few drupal based sites here in the office and I ran into a problem recently when I was asked to setup one of the production sites in a qa environment. Basically the steps I took were to copy the files from apache document root of the production site to the right location on the qa web serer, run the install as usual and then import the production database to the qa instance afterward. So far so good. After tweaking the files a bit, the production site comes up in qa and I am able to log into the qa instance using drupal accounts from production. However there was an unexpected result. When I started clicking on the links from the QA installation it would point me to pages from production. That part of it was not entirely unexpected I guess but the problem was that after I started clicking on the links that pointed to production, CSS on the production site broke. When I say that it 'broke' what I mean is the CSS formatting was lost on all of the pages. I was able to fix the problem in production by clearing the cache from the drupal interface on the production side. Just to be safe, I dropped the database on the qa instance to make sure that it wouldn't cause any more issues in production. So from that it seems that importing the database provided some resources to the qa instance that were being shared with production. I was hoping to get an opinion on what those resources might be so that I can perhaps clear the table(s) before making another attempt to import the production database into qa. I think what may work is to delete the contents of certain tables with a DELETE * FROM table. Based on some readings I've done into the issue I would think that cache, session and watchdog may be part of the problem. But before I proceeded I would like to get your opinion on whether this might help and perhaps suggest some other tables that could be causing the problem. Thanks!! Tim

Triggering Form Submit

I used to be able to add the following to a select list to trigger form submission when the selected value was changed. <select ... onChange="this.form.submit(); " This would be executed as javascript and would trigger submission method of the form object that contained the select widget. How can I do the same using the Drupal form definition? I tried "#ahah" but can't seem to get it to work. Any clues? I want to cause the form validation and optionally the post modules to be executed when the selection has change. Warren Vail

integration with external mailing lists?

Hello, Does anyone know which external mailing lists integrate well [low effort] with Drupal? I'm looking for a mailing list system that my client(s) can use that provides nice tracking like: URL specific click-statistics for each news letter, reads per issue, unsubscribes per mailing... you know, all that good stuff that websites like: constant contact and list-rocket provide. I'm guessing that someone has already made a good connector to the user-profiles to one or more of these. Obviously one would want a check-box in Drupal's account admin pages to opt in/out of the mailing list(s). Thank you for your ideas and support! Best, Sebastian.
