Saving Settings -- 403

When attempting to save the settings (admin/settings/site-information) I get a "Page Not Found" error. The log basically gives this: Details Type page not found Location http://www.../admin/settings/site-information Referrer http://www.../admin/settings/site-information Message 403.shtml Severity warning This is a multisite setup, and it's on a shared host which recently changed the server to improve performance. My best guess is that mod_security settings changed during the move from one environment to the other, but I'll have to open a ticket with the host. Any other ideas before I go down that path? Wysiwyg_formatter did indeed solve the problem, but I had to go into their Issues to get a version that would work on Drupal 7. I wish they would put the patched version out as a release to make it easier for others. But the FAQ is wrong because the TinyMCE buttons only put in <span> tags, so the check box does nothing. Tiny MCE and Wysiwyg

In Drupal 7 using Tiny MCE and Wysiwyg, it seems impossible to get font changes if you filter the HTML. The post in the FAQ (http://drupal.org/node/417166#filter-styles) does not work. I always get a <span> entry in my text irrespective of whether the "|Convert <font> tags to styles" check box is checked. So how can I specify the HTML filter so that it is smart enough to allow font changes? | |Thanks, Jim Rome | || | |

User content delimitation.

Hello all. I hope all of you are fine. I still working with Drupal 7 and most the functionality it has by installing it , plain installation. Since I have not explored all the world of modules yet and I do not have previous experience with Drupal 6 or before I like to learn all it can do as it and then, my next step read about all modules. I can say that for newbies, Drupal 7 can be hard to understand about how to join all the pieces together and more when you do not have idea of what others modules to use. Anyway, when I finish I am planning to write a small tutorial on things I have found, specially for those without experience in any prior version of Drupal like me. My questions. I have read that Drupal 6 and previous versions were used in place like local newspapers, companies news, intranets. As it came, without modules I have not being able to separate content under Drupal 7. Let me explain. Let's say a local newspaper of a small town or a small school. What modules do I need to have content controlled only by the owner. Maybe that the teacher of 5° grade publish content and THAT ONLY kids from 5° grade can made comments and even read it. ON other side, that maybe a teacher can publish content for 5° , 7 and 3 grade but not the others. In the example of the school, that parents CAN NOT READ the content of kids an vice versa. ANother example would be that people of one comapny's department can post and read all information about his/her department but can not read or comment about others. I guess that's the simple idea. That's my challenge to learn now. I can install Drupal 6 but the challenge is to try to solve all with Drupal 7. Any comments or advice on how to do this are VERY welcomed. Linking Files in Content

I am looking for a *best* way to let users upload a PDF or Word Doc and link to it all from CKEditor in the WYSIWYG Editor for Drupal 7. I think this can be done in the media module but I do not see how. Ideally they would upload the document, enter the link text and a link would be made automatically. Drupal multisite install

In regard to the previous posts, yet another interesting problem. Yes I can have multi site -but- now both use the same database because it seems that drupal is reading only one settings.php from /default. It does not do a fresh install of another database from it's own settings.php. What causes this, what should I be looking for please. thanks Roger

504/502 gateway time out or bad gateway errors.

Hi All, Off late I am getting these errors a little too frequently on my website hosted at Greengeeks. 504 Gateway Time-out nginx 502 Bad Gateway nginx Is this something to do with the hosting server or something in Drupal? I am also using boost. I saw some discussion about boost n nginx. SO is there any connection? - Ben

Drupal multisite install

I'm trying to understand Drupal multisite install which no matter what I try does not work. I have read and applied steps from most of the instructionals and tutorials. Set up in /var/www/html. I have 127.0.0.1 site1 localhost in /etc/hosts I have DocumentRoot, ServerAdmin, ServerName,RewriteEngine, etc set up in <VirtualHost> in httpd.conf (Fedora14) I have first.com/sites/default and first.com/sites/site1 which has settings.php renamed from default.settings.php chmod 777 on /sites/site1 and chmod 666 on settings.php localhost/first.com works and is operational localhost/first.com/site1 gives Not Found error localhost/site1 gives Not Found error localhost/first.com.site1 gives Not Found error errorlog reports [Sun May 15 05:44:47 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /var/www/html/first.com/site1 accesslog reports 127.0.0.1 - - [15/May/2011:05:44:47 +1000] "GET /first.com/site1 HTTP/1.1" 404 288 Is this a problem with /var/ww/html, should I have a directory in /home/user and set ServerRoot to that directory? I'm trying to understand the role of .htaccess on my local machine because on the remote server I cannot alter httpd.conf so overrides have to be in the root .htaccess and this also has me stumped. Should I put the <VirtualHost> in .htaccess and leave httpd.conf untouched. It does not discuss this in the tutorials that I have read. Thanks in advance Roger

Views 3 exposed filters

I am using exposed filters with Views 3 for a search page. I can't manage to figure out how to display a text message when no results are returned. I'm sure this is something simple in the Views UI that I'm missing, but its got me stumped at the moment. The page is at <http://search.valecemetery.org/advanced-search>. comment.tpl.php $links not available

Hi All, Am using drupal 6. Don't know what went missing where but I can't see the reply/delete links in my comments on the node pages. I am certain I had these links available at some point of time. Not sure what things have changed during the past few months. I did a dprint_r of $links in comment.tpl.php but it shows me absolutely nothing. How and what and where do I check for this? cheers - Ben
