Ubercart Products Validity

Hi, I have a need in which products created in ubercart should have a validity, the product needs to be setup in the following way: 1> Product is a bundle of similar entities ( like a lesson, hotel booking ) so a product could be a bundle of lets say 30 bookings wherein one booking is a resource that can be redeemed any point of time during its validity. Lets say the user buys the product and now he has 30 bookings at his disposal, where in he can make the booking while the validity lasts. He can make booking today upon availability and another 5 days later and so on. For booking I am looking at the bookings api and public bookings module though it doesn't really integrate with ubercart (?). 2> Product needs to have a validity, so the bookings can be made only in the span of validity. 3> Num of available bookings needs to be updated ( decremented by 1 ) once the customer makes a booking. Public bookings has rules integration but for that I will need to create a instance of the bundle specific for that user so the rules doesn't decrement the number of session on the whole package but only for that particular user. I have looked at some modules in Ecommerce category but haven't found one that serves my purpose, maybe I missed something. Has anyone done something similar before, some use cases that come to my mind which might need this is "Buying online lessons", "Bulk buying of any service which can be redeemed at any point in the purchase validity", I think online lessons is the best usecase I could think off so far. I will be looking into this more but in case if any of you guys already know of a module or a starting point, I will very much appreciate a response. Cheers

Hi, I'd like to setup a domestic cleaning site. I'd like to have roles for clients and employees The cleints should be able to register and then be assigned to an employee. They should be able to reserve/book sessions for their house to be cleaned with their particular house cleaner. Any modules tutorials out there to help me with this. Good day, I would like to prevent anyone from creating an account on my site. I see that I can hide the login/password options, from the left bar, but they are still accessible if someone enters: Blog.company.com/?q=user Is there a way to prevent anyone to create an account? drupal_form_submit updating not inserting on multiple record submission

So, there is this, uh, guy I know who can't seem to grok what is happening in the new D7 drupal_form_submit() function when he is submitting multiple nodes at a time (e.g. looping over a file of records for import). What appears to be happening is this: the first record is submitted and inserted within node_save() function. The nid from this record is retained/cached/whatever, so node_save() sees any subsequently submitted records as already having a nid and therefor treats them as updates to the first insert instead of as new new nodes. So, if I were to do something like: http://drupalbin.com/17729 The only new record I see is "foo-#1", foo-#1 having overwritten foo-#0. So, I guess I'm wondering if is this expected behavior and I'm just not passing the node form everything it needs? Or possibly my install is somehow scrogged? Or? BTW, I noticed that if I just hack node_form() to generate a fresh node object each submit with: node_object_prepare($node); $form_state['node'] = $node; The problem goes away. But, I don't really know why yet. Thanks much! -Chad P.S. I'm aware of and love the feeds module but still want to understand this problem :).

Help with Views

I'm having trouble understanding how to configure an existing Drupal site so that it's easy to post to one tab like a blog. Right now, the only way it works is to edit an existing post to update the info. I'm told it has to do with Views, but I tried one tutorial and it's still confusing. Where can I find a good tutorial or is there a simple change in a setting I have to make? Thanks. Adam

Panels, views and arguments

I thought I had this one beat, but I’m afraid I can’t get it to work. I am creating a page that have a complex data structure. There is a parent content type and two children content types. While viewing child A, I want to be able to link have the nid of Child B. I created a context view that, when passed the argument of the nid of child A, it returns the nid of the parent. I then created a view that I inserted into a panel, trying to use that context view as an argument, that, when passed the parent’s nid, returns the nid of the child B. This gave me no results. There seems to be a difference between the panel’s arguments and views contexts. Any suggestions? Joel
