Broken Links

Hi there, I have recently taken a existing drupal site offline and am running it locally on Aquaria. I have everything working except for a few pages. I am getting a 404 Error message and after some research it looks like it brings me to a line in the module.inc and it has a php syntax of $result = call_user_func_array($function, $args);I don't know if this means anything but it is what all the 404 errors are resulting to when it comes to a broken link. Now the site online is working fine. But just running it loaclly these problems occur. Is there anything I can do to fix this local broken link problem so I can see all my pages. Setting an error page.

I am trying to set a custom error page. My first attempt was to use the administration menu and navigate to configuration->site information. There is a box where I can enter a URL for a 403 & 404 error page and it starts me with a static string http://www.sepsserver.com/drupal/. So I created a file here http://www.sepsserver.com/error.html and set the proper permissions for it like this: chmod 774 error.html. Now I set my 403 & 404 error to navigate to http://www.sepsserver.com/drupal/error.html and I get an error: The file error.html does not exist or you do not have permission to access it. Well that's crap. There is a file and I do have permissions set to access it. In addition I have also tried using a node which does not work either because my anonymous users do not have permissions to view content which is exactly what I want.

hardcoded links in menu

Working on a website where dozens of links have been hardcoded. This is causing a problem because someone logged onto marty.com may inadvertently click a link for www.marty.com, or vice versa, and gets an access denied message. Now my first question is, is this normal Drupal behavior, or is there a place for me to specify something presumably with how cookies are set to make this not even be a problem? Or is it not even Drupal, just the way cookies work? I'm assuming that cookies are the root cause of the access denied issue. Secondly though I wanna change all these links in the menu_links.link_path which say something like: http://www.marty.org/?q=node/7 or http://org/node/?q=node/13 to simply say /?q=node/7 and /?q=node/13. Two questions on that: 1. is this the only change required for this issue? 2. am I right in thinking this can only be done programmatically ie. there's no way to put together a one line mysql update query that'll work? So far I've identified them in the menus. Found several dozen on the link_path column of the menu_links table as per my OP below. noderelationships - parent form does not save newly added child nodes' nids.

Hi All, I am using : Node Relationships - 6.x-1.6 Views - 6.x-2.12 Modal frame API - 6.x-1.7 jQuery UI - 6.x-1.4 jQuery Update - 6.x-2.x-dev Back Reference - 6.x-1.1 I have node types A & B with A having references (1-10) to B and B to A(only 1). One is filled with the other by Back reference. Now I am able to successfully add a new node of type B from A's page. The nid of B shows up in the text box in the 'search&add' boxes after the add. But saving of A doesn't actually store B's nids in A. When I edit B, I see that A has cleanly been referred. I have to again edit A, search B's nodes using A's search & node boxes and then saving it. Here again, the last nid of B selected is not saved. I have to re-edit A and again repeat the cycle to save the last nid again. I am not sure if I am missing some config somewhere!! Has anyone seen such behavior? I am at my wit's end. Could anyone please help m here?!! Regards - Ben.

permissions broken after upgrading one site of a multisite install to D6

I have a multisite D5 setup that we are upgrading to D6 one domain at a time. After upgrading the first site, anonymous users have all access to it even though permissions are set correctly in the admin screen. it is like the sites/domain/files folder is not being seen. File attachment - error

I am trying to upload files using form api in my module and I dont want to use the nid.. I have attached the ".module " file what I have coded... I have refered the drupal's core module-upload module n and have reached the coding to the current extent. When I click on the button " Click here to attach the file", I get error "An HTTP error 0 occurred. /testing/fileattach/js". Please help me . -- *Cheers ** *

*Hello,* I'm looking to create my first ecommerce site and could use some direction (books, tutorials, videos, etc.) I also intend to build the site as a D7 site. It looks like there's a reliable Ubercart release for D7 - but I've also been reading about Drupal Commerce, and I'm finding it confusing figuring out which would be a better route to take. The site I'd like to create would start out with about 20 (physical) products organized into about 5 categories. Over time I'd like to double that (40+ products / 10+ categories). I'd need to take credit cards & track inventory, sales and shipping. My php skills arent too great, but I'm not scared to get my hands dirty. I'm hoping somebody can give me some suggestions on which ecommerce solution to take (ubercart ordrupal commerce), what I'm in for, and some good resources. My first ecommerce site is a little intimidating.. but it's time to get one under my belt! *brendan*

Best Way to Handle Event Content Type(s) for Handling both time bound and "all day"

Supportive Drupallers, I'm building a calendar for a client in D6. Some of the events are "all day" (though I add a theme function override to make the "All Day" disappear). Some of the events have beginning times and no end times, and other events have beginning and end times. I could simply use one content type and one field. I would have to *instruct users* to put "12:00 AM" for the start time and leave the end time blank. But frankly, that is a horrible user experience. For entering dates *without times*, I desire to use the input format which only offers a date for data entry; no time field is available. (Why isn't there an input format that has a checkbox for "all day." Didn't the old event module have that? Am I missing something?) Assuming that there is no "all day" checkbox AND that I don't want to ask users to manually enter "12:00am", I have two choices: 1. Create a *second content type* "All day event", use the *same field, *but use the all day input format on one and a format that allows for time entry on the other. 2. Keep only *one content-type*, "Event" and add a second field to it, "All day event" As I write this I'm thinking that #1 is a much better choice. Though I hate having too many content types, it just seems so much clearer for the end user. And they truly are different types. In option #2, there are two available fields, and the end user has to pick the right one and skip the other; one will always be empty. That doesn't seem like good information architecture. And I can imagine instances that would be quite problematic in Views if I want to combine timed and all day events in the same View. Am I correct? Two content types with one field is best for my requirements? Am I missing the "check if all day event" functionality that I'm somehow blind to. Thanks in advance for your help. Shai
