Windows App -> Drupal Login

I have a request to make an icon on for a Windows desktop which would launch a browser (or extra tab I guess) and also log the person in. I am not a Windows programmer (not even a user) but in theory, is this even possible? This client has Active Directory and he also asked about integrating that. For that, I see there is an ldap-based solution[1] which I think could work. I found http://drupal.org/project/webserver_auth but I don't know how this works precisely. I am just wondering if we could get automatic Windows user authentication into Drupal, then a simple link to their site would log them in. The server is remote and is Linux, but I think these solutions work on a Linux server. Any ideas? Thanks. [1] http://pasada.org/integrating-drupal-active-directory

Yes I have, and there is clear:both coming from the clearfix class. I think that IS part of the problem. There is this vertical gap between the 1st and 2nd fields in user profiles, please see the attached screenshot in my original mail.

problem in user profile with fields and picture

Hi, I have added some text fields to user profiles, and allowed profile pictures, in D7. On two themes, Marinelli and Danland, I am getting a weird user profile (when visiting user/1, see attached screenshot). Profile pictures are floated to the right in these two themes. In the profile there is a horizontal gap between the 1st and 2nd field (Name and Surname in my case) as big as the height of the profile picture. But it should not be there since the picture is 'floating' to the right. I think this is about the clearfix hack, working in a weird way. How should I fix this? Thanks

Library management system - help

Hi, I am using drupal for the past 10 months, I found that by posting things to support(a)drupal.org gives us some ideas or feedback, I am building an online library management system. The ordered book gets delivered to the member's place manually. The same will be done to pick up the book if a member wishes to return the book. I am using a content type to store the book details. Ratings and reviews are enabled and can be made by the member for each book. Each member has his own profile, which includes his personal details as well as the status of the book (borrowed/currently reading, Already read, Added to wishlist). A two column panel is used, one showing the list of books in a grid view and other showing the complete details about the book selected. Along with the details shown, it also must display three options buttons for the member to proceed. The three options includes, 1. Borrowing a book 2. Marking book as 'already read' 3. Adding the book to wishlist I want to display these options using radio buttons. if borrowing a book is selected it must be added to the "currently reading " status of the book in his profile. Thank Victor! I wish you were coming out to the DrupalCon in Chicago - maybe I'll get to meet you at the next one. I will try Node Export - didn't even look at the obvious yet because so many weren't quite ready for D7 release (Feeds, not quite ready yet). indexing and search specific user fields in D7

Greetings, Suppose I have added some text fields, say field_name, field_surname and field_address to my users (admin/config/people/accounts/fields in Drupal 7). I would like to index and search data in the fields field_name and field_surname only (not field_address). In D7 the included search module enables searching for usernames and emails only; I cannot search for specific user fileds. Is there a module for adding this functionality? I am not looking for a fancy solution like Solr, it is a small site, just simple, quick and dirty, I want to be able to search my users in two specific fileds. What should I do? What do suggest? Hi All! I need to know about Drupal capability to "share your screen" like Go To Meeting, Webinar and Glance type applications. I need to build the ability for the members of Organic Groups to join a live, online meeting presentation where the presenter may share their screen with the members who are logged in to the meeting and members of a group. Right now, there are there are several approaches at various states of maturity / stability / easiness-of-setup : Deploy, Feeds..." Couple of questions about calendar module

Hi, hope somebody can help me, been tearing my hair out. I've been trying to build a calendar view for a specific and non-movable month that will show nodes of a selected type and display them based on the embedded CCK date field in the node. Once I've got that I then want a second node type that is a descendant of the current node. The reason for all this? I'm trying to put together a list of destinations and the events/activities that will happen at those locations for our honeymoon later this year. So the start/end times in the ancestor destination nodes will appear in the main calendar which then links to the display for the destination node which will include all the activities. I think this bit is probably easy and just needs a set of node references into the content of the node. Or is there a more sophisticated way of doing it with a view to show all the descendant nodes for this node? I've tried Googling and searching Drupal.org for this but without much success and fiddling with the view settings has just resulted in an error, "The Date argument in this view must be set up to provide a default value set to the current date. Edit the argument, find 'Action to take if argument is not present.', choose 'Provide default argument', then select 'Current date'." Which If I read it right is saying that I must make the parameter "current date" which is the opposite to what I want. Thanks for any help, mark.
