I like - Very simple.:) The only real problem with it, are browsers such as Pocket IE, that don't do well with CSS. I've tried hiding divs before (although I didn't think of it here), and those weird little browsers have alwayse been problematic. I do have mobile users (myself included), so I try to cover that case when I can. Hello I'm using the announcements module in D6. I have a homepage view which is basically the default frontpage sample view, which displays new posts to the site much like the default homepage. Announcements posted through the announcements content type show up like this on that view: Announcing 2011 Domain Pricing Sat, 01/01/2011 - 00:30 -- admin Starting January 1, 2011 - Ending December 31, 2011 We are continuing our better-than-the-competition domain pricing from the 4th quarter of 2010. I have a shopping cart block within the main pages that I want to refresh by calling the div called "panel-pane pane-block pane-uc-cart-0" every 2.5 seconds. What is the most efficient way to implement this? I believe the way to call the javascript within drupal is by using the drupal_add_js() command but where do I put these commands so that the timer is run to refresh this shopping cart block every 2.5 seconds? I have seen some documentation that recommends using hook_init for javascript that is needed for all pages. I believe that the timer is setup by running the command: *setInterval(shoppingCartInfo, 2500);* With shoppingCartInfo being a command that does a call to refresh the shopping cart block which could be a set of ajax calls or maybe command like *window.panel-pane pane-block pane-uc-cart-0.refresh(). * Thanks, John

is eCommerce viable?

Folks: I am trying out the eCommerce module for an online store. I did this after frustration with trying to set up ubercart for paypal IPN with web payments standard. Do any of you know if eCommerce is a viable solution. I can't seem to find any tutorials on the current version, or any kind of support at all. I'd be very interested in opinions and experience. How to make Dynamic webpage

Hi All I am quite new to Drupal, and trying hard to learn Drupal. My apologize to all, if I am asking a silly question here. I want to implement a dynamic web page for employee work report track purpose using Drupal. 1) At the top of page I want a view (in table format), that will show existing records added. 2) At the center of page I want individual fields where we will enter data for records 3) At the bottom of page I want buttons to add/modify/delete records. Please see the attached word document, what I am trying to make. So individual users can enter data for records and using "add" button I should be able to add the records. With every add/modify/delete operation records shoud be updated in database. Next time user logs in should be able to see previously added records. In Drupal7 what is the best way to do it. Please provide your valuable input earliest. I have thought of below option. Please correct me if I am heading towards wrong direction. a. I will have a panel page and using layout manager will create three regions top, center and buttom. b. In top, I will add the view , center will add the individual fields and at buttom will add buttons. c. I need to explore how to create view, individual text-field/text-areas and buttons and add - If you know it, please let me know. d. And how do I include the database specific code such as INSERT, DELETE etc. Best Regards Austin.

custom views urls and 'access administration pages' clash???

Hi, I have an oddity that I need explained to me. I made a custom menu with links to various custom views. The views urls begin like this: mysite/admin/registrations/% The view arg(2) value is a node id argument and the default value 'all' displays all values. I created a menu item called 'current registrations' mapped to 'mysite/admin/registrations/all'. In the custom menu this link failed to appear unless the user has the 'access administration pages' permission. I assume it has something to do with the fact that I used 'admin' as my first argument. However, other links that have an additional argument after the wildcard DO appear for those without the permission. So 'mysite/admin/registrations/all/past' DOES appear for those without the permission. Side note: There are no permission restrictions on the view. Can someone explain to me what is going on here? FCKEditor issue with Basic Starter Theme

* Basic 6.x-2.12 FCKEditor 6.x-2.1 Not much else on this site. Most of the time (it's intermittent) I get a disabled white rectangle instead of the FCKEditor. Anyone else seen this? No javascript errors. Might be time to finally switch to CKEditor.
