hex codes in node_import files

I'm porting CCK content from a redesigned D4 site to D6 by extracting the data in a PHP script, generating CSV files then using node_import to create the new nodes. It's working out pretty well so far but I hit the following snag on one of the content types. There are hex encoded characters in the D4 content, somewhere in the importation process the text gets truncated at the first appearance of one of these eg. 0x99, 0x93, 0x94. Am thinking the easiest way to handle it would be to preprocess the data in my PHP script, converting to what it really should be anyway ie. HTML special characters such as the following: 0x99 -> ™ 0x93 -> “ 0x94 -> ” Anyone know of an existing utility to do this for me? Otherwise I can code up a conversion method to accomplish it. Marty

Hi all. I need to create a block (with views module) that contain last nodes that have new comments. How to increase number of results for the drupal search

adding an Onclick setting to jquery drupal settings

Hello, I'm trying to add a onClick setting to the views slideshow imageflow module. Everything works great except that when I add the onClick setting it doesn't work. Error on IE

I am gettinf an error when viewing our intranet site on IE8 and it does not display the site but on FF and Chrome the site displays. Module dev white screen on form submit

While developing a module, I ran into a new problem with a twist. When submitting a form, I get a white screen. I have gone so far as to remove validate and submit functions with the same result. Using Minify

For various reasons [multisite/performance/boost], I'm using Minify [http://code.google.com/p/minify/] on my site rather than using Core to handle CSS compression. One way of using Minify is to pass it a string of CSS urls, in the form of <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/min/?f=modules/node/node.css,modules/system/defaults.css,..."> I've been doing this by using a preprocess function in template.php to assemble the css files into a string. However, the better way to do it is by creating a file that just comprises an array in the form of <?php return array( 'css'=>array('//modules/node/node.css','//modules/system/defaults.css',...), 'print'=>array('//sites/all/themes/mytheme/css/print.css'), ); ?> and calling this like: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/min/?g=css" media="all"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/min/?g=print" media="print"> I can create this by using a theme function that assembles the array and writes it to the file. However, writing to a file every time the page is called is an obvious overhead. Leaving the file static and updating it manually, however, means that if a new or updated module adds a new CSS file, I probably won't know about it and won't update the array. So my actual question is: in my theme, or in my custom module, is there anything I can hook into so that I write to this file only when the cache is cleared (which happens when modules are added/updated right?). I guess it would need to be in my custom module as I wouldn't be using my theme when the cache is actually cleared (as I use garland for administration) - but then how does a module know what css a theme is using? The hacky way would be to get the theme to write to the file if there's a GET variable something like ?css_rewrite or run a cron job every few hours, but I wondered if there was anything more elegant. --David Hart.

Front page with i18n sometimes not working

Hello, on the site http://plats.polnetwork.biz I use i18n, so i have http://plats.polnetwork.biz/ca and http://plats.polnetwork.biz/es The front page is /inici on both cases, and the default language is /ca but from some machines the front (inici) is not working and appears an error "The required page could not be found" Any idea?
