getting rid of "soandso's picture" text

I'm using Drupal five, building a theme off of Zen. I want to optionally display a user's picture in posts, so that if the user has uploaded a picture then it is displayed, and if not then the teaser view shifts left to occupy that space. So I turned on pictures in the theme configuration. But now, where there is no picture available, I have a "soandso's picture" link. Specifically: I want if( $picture ){...} in the .tpl.php file to evaluate to FALSE if there is no picture, TRUE if there is one. How can I get this behavior? Is there a theme override that I'm missing?

continuous trigger on comment being viewed by authenticated user

I recently upgraded my site to Drupal 6-6. I am seeing a strange behavior with triggers, for the event "Trigger: When a comment is being viewed by an authenticated user". I have created an e-mail action and assigned it to this trigger event. Now I'm getting dozens of these events in a 24 hour period reporting myself as the %username, even when I have not been on the site in quite a long time. So it appears it's reporting events that do not happen. Has anyone seen this? Is this /op error or a bug, or worse, someone else hijacking the site, etc? Any ideas how to track it down? Front page showing up where it shouldn't.

Hi, I've been putting together a drupal site, and have got it pretty much working, but I've decided to add an Ubercart store to it, and the images aren't working. I've got all the appropriate modules installed (and have used the old versions that are listed in the documentation just to make sure that I wasn't choking on some sort of version incompatibility), and when I go to upload an image for a product, completion of the upload produced a PHP error popping up in a dialog box. The text of the error is exactly the HTML source of the front page of the website. On top of this, I get a little grey rectangle where the image should be when I look at the product, and attempts to open the "image" in a new tab, or copy the location and download it (e.g. with wget) simply produce the front page (or a copy of it). All that said, the file does seem to have uploaded, since I can find it in the files/ sudirectory of my drupal directory when logged into the server (and downloading that file with scp shows me that it's actually the image, and not a copy of the front page). There are no entries in the webserver logs relating to any attempt to get this file (attempts to get it just seem to get logged as successful attempts to get "/"), and Clean URLs are enabled. Possibly (but not likely) relevant is that when I was originally putting the site together at http://test.domain.com/ , quite a few queries got redirected to the appropriate page on www.domain.com. This problem went away when the site was finished, and got moved onto www.domain.com to replace the old site, but not the sort of finished that leaves me feeling very comfortable. Also, I don't know if this is normal behaviour, or if it's buggy (and possibly connected to my main problem again), but when I make changes to the site, I tend to get dropped onto the front page instead of where I might logically expect to end up (e.g. when I submit changes to a node, I'd expect the page I see after pressing the "Submit" button to either be the node in question, or some sort of success message, or perhaps the node being edited with the success message bolted to the top). Anyhow, I'm hoping that someone here knows what's going on here and can suggest a fix. Permissions problem: edit page content

Hello, I have a role called "site developer" that should be able to edit any page, but for some reason they can't. On the access-control page (admin/user/access), this role has the permissions "administer nodes" and "edit page content". So users with this role should be able to edit any page, right? I am running Drupal 5. Ten minutes ago I deleted everything in the node_access table and inserted the following line: INSERT INTO {node_access} VALUES (0, 0, 'all', 1, 0, 0) I have the taxonomy-access module installed, but I'm not using it for page nodes. Any ideas? Is it safe to run "rebuild-permissions"? I don't want to lose what I just gained by editing the node_access table. Thanks for the help. Daniel.

Need a module for user blocking other user.

I am in need of a Drupal module which will enable all authenticated users to block other users. Like the feature in Facebook and Orkut.This feature is required for a social community networking website which all content (audio video photo document) uploads. Users can't access content

Hello, I was using the "taxonomy access" module but I decided that it doesn't do what I want, so got rid of it. That is to say, I didn't delete the categories, but I set them to not be used for "Pages". Here is my problem: Some pages are now inaccessible to anonymous users. When you go to the page you get an access denied error. I'm getting stressed about this because my users are mad and they want to show their pages to other people. I have gone to the regular permissions page (admin/user/access) and under "node module" the permission "access content" is activated for anonymous users. I don't know what to do and I was hoping someone here had an idea. I'm using Drupal 5 btw. I would welcome any help. Daniel.

I've created a new block and assigned it to the left side bar. College Website Migrating to Drupal

Hi, I am in process of transforming my college's website from old dead static page site to drupal powered website. These are the features I am thinking to implement. 1. Each student of the college could have his own homepage on college's domain. As if http://collegedomain/studentpages/studentname. The student should have control on that page only. Under his homepage tree, he should be able to create hierarchy of content. i.e. child nodes under his home page. 2. Lecturers and other staff of the college should also have their home page under the their department's category where they could upload their Resume etc. Now while showing a listing of computer science faculty members, that list could be fetched dynamically from the content provided by them on their pages. 3. In the same way, each society of the college should have their home page. It will be having same capabilities as user pages. e.g. their home pages and ability to create other nodes as child of the home page. 4. There should be a group page for each society. Only the members of that society ( e.g. members of the tech club in our college) should be able to subscribe to that group. They could discuss their issues on the group forum. 5. I would like to fetch content dynamically from pages named Latest News and Upcoming Events to two different blocks on the front page. The block which is containing latest news will have 5 news stories, then each news story title should feature a small image along with it. 6. Different permissions will be defined for students, lecturers, community, library admin and management accounts. I would like to know about the modules needed for these tasks or other resources which will be helpful here. Right now, I am experimenting with CCK and Views and they look to be quite important for implementation of some of the tasks. Thanks, -Jai
