Workflow and Revisions

Hi, Here is the problem I'm attempting to resolve. I have a workflow in place that forces content to pass through a workflow from a review stage then into the publish stage. Editors can create and edit content and approvers can publish. The workflow is in place and working. What I want to do now though is when a user edits content it automatically creates a revision and puts the revision into the stage which awaits approval without unpublishing what is currently displayed. Then once the revision has been approved it replaces the currently published version. I have tried creating revisions which move into the workflow but unless I unpublish the page the new content is displayed. If I create an action to unpublish the new revision it removes the content from public visibility. My question is, is there an easy way to use what is in place now, or already written modules, to do this? To allow editing pages without publishing the edit or hiding what is currently published. Contact form anti-spam protection

I use the built in Drupal site wide contact form on a number of sites. It seems that spammers find the form and start to do their thing fairly quickly. Especially on our University web sites which have a lot of exposure. I am looking for recommendations for anti-spam protection for the contact form. I have used the captcha module and the spam module in the past. Are those still the best approach or are there other options for best practice? I have also signed up for an account on http://mollom.com/. Figured that may be another alternative, but haven't checked to see if the mollum module works for forms other than Drupal comments. couple of issues with an sql query and theming a db query

I posted on the d.o forum yesterday about putting together a sql query for a block in which users are listed according to the total pageviews their content had received. I got one or two suggestions but nothing concrete so waded in to try and get it done myself. I've come up against both sql problems and theming issues too. The two relevant tables are node and node_counter, so if we take some example data: node nid uid 1 1 2 2 3 1 4 1 5 2 node_counter nid totalcount 1 15 2 22 3 9 4 17 5 6 so I'm looking for a block that gives me: USER PAGEVIEWS John (uid 1) 41 Ned (uid 2) 28 so far, I have this: <table><tr><td>Title</td><td>Pageviews</td></tr> <?php $uid = $account->uid; $query= "SELECT node.title, node.nid, node_counter.totalcount FROM node INNER JOIN node_counter ON node.nid = node_counter.nid WHERE uid = $uid ORDER BY totalcount DESC LIMIT 5"; $results = db_query($query); while($output = db_fetch_object($results)){ print "<tr><td>"; print "<a href=\"/node/$output->nid\">"; print $output->title; print "</a>"; print "</td><td>"; print $output->totalcount; print "</td></tr>"; } ?> </table> which gives me the top 5 viewed pages for each user on their main /user page. It's very handy and I think I'll use it. Can someone give me a pointer to go the next step towards my initial aim, the total of a user's pageviews and then a list of the top X users on a site based on pageviews. I know I need to use SUM in the sql statement but I don't seem to be able to get the syntax right. My other question regards the theming of the output. You can see from my code that I've manually built the links...is there an easier way to do it. I've used "$output .= node_title_list($result);" before but that was just for a list of node titles, not for a table with 2-3 cols in it. Is there another theme function for what I'm trying to do? thanks in advance for any hints you can give. Neil

Fw: Books and blocks

Hi All, Need help please. I have four books in my site. They are to be arranged to according to the subject of the book. Two books belongs to Tutorial section. (That means they are tutorials) Other two books are about Performance (This will deal with how to perform an act etc) I want two separate blocks to view these books with heading Tutorials and Performance. Under Tutorials, two books dealing with learning will be listed and other two books will be under the heading "Performance" I would like to use two separate blocks (one for tutorial and other one for Performance) and those blocks to be displayed one in left side (Tutorial) and other in right side (Performance). How to change Upcoming Event behavior?

v5.10 Event 5.1.0, The default behavior of Upcoming Event deletes item from the list when the starting time has passed. I need to keep listing all the events of the day. In other words, I want items to be deleted from the list when local time hits 12:01 AM. I have been searching for the answer but to no avail. sub-sections for content types

Hi, I am using drupal 6.x. I need to implement the following on my website. I have a section called news. Now, withing News section, I need to sub-divide it into various sections e.g. banking sector, hospitality sector, food chain, etc. Users can browse through the news according to the sections they are interested in or view all the news items. How can this be achieved? Couple of possible ways we have been identifying are 1) A module to create sub-sections, then the user can be presented with a list of sections to choose from. 2) Set up tags such that all the news will be tagged and users can select from the tags. Any way to implement this? Or any other way the idea can be implemented? With Regards, Mehul Ved.

I was referring to editing the html source via TinyMCE, which I prefer using. It brings up a new window which has update on the bottom-left (not right as I said). When editing TinyMCE directly I can't replicate the error message that you're receiving. Problem with TinyMCE

Hello, I have a problem: 1. User is editing a page using TinyMCE. 2. User clicks submit. 3. A pop-up appears saying: *Confirm* Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? The changes you made will be lost if you navigate away from this page. Press OK to continue or Cancel to stay on the current page. [Cancel] [OK] I don't understand why it says that. Clicking Submit *is* the right way to save your changes, right? What's more confusing, the program is lying. If you click OK and navigate away from the page the changes *are* saved. Any ideas? Thanks.
