programmatically importing images

Hi, I have a drupal 7 site with about 200 nodes that each have 5 image fields. Does anyone know a good way to import the images into those fields without having to go to each /node/xxx and uploading the image? The images are already on the server and i have a table that contains the title of the node and the image name. Thanks. -Don-

Hello, Using Drupal 7 I am creating a new site which is a directory of companies. For each company I want to store the annual turnover for several years. For instance: 23 MUSD for 2010 24 MUSD for 2011 29 MUSD for 2012 What is the best way to handle that? Thanks for the help, Denis

elms cannot be loaded

Good evening I'm trying to install Drupal Elms, but I'm blocked while trying to load the distribution. I've already installed Drupal 7 this afternoon, then I downloaded the * elms-6.x-1.x-dev-core.tar.gz,* umpacked it into */var/www/html/profiles/elms * directory (Drupal is installed in the */var/www/html* directory), went to: *http://localhost/html/profiles/elms/elms-6.x-1.x-dev/install.php* to begin the installation, when I've finished that procedure, without errors, I moved into *http://localhost/html/install.php*, checked "elms" button, and after validating language, I've got: *Sorry, the profile you have chosen cannot be loaded. * without any other error messages. What am I doing wrong?and what does that message mean?? Cheers* *

Problem with Drupal.behaviors

I'm using a js file with a handful of jQuery functions wrapped in Drupal.behaviors to move, retag or alter some items on the Commerce product detail page and collection page. The issue I have is that the final function does not fire. If I take it, replace the $'s in it with jQuery and paste it in the console of firebug or chrome tools, it works just fine (it rewraps the page title). The js contents are below. how to access Drupal base URL

Good afternoon I'm new to Drupal, I'm trying to install it but I'm having a little trouble while accessing Drupal from my browser... I extracted Drupal in the /var/www/html directory as said in the installation guid, then modified the .htaccess file as mentioned in that link: *http://www.exp-media.com/drupal7-htaccess-subfolder-tip * and uncommente*d* the base_url variable, in the default.setting.php*: * *$base_url = 'http://localhost'; // NO trailing slash!* but in vain, each time I try to access to http://localhost I get the default apache page: *the web server software is running but no content has been added, yet. * What am I doing wrong? WSOD when using Add content type.

A couple of weeks ago I asked for help because of the inability to access Add Content Type and about the php memory error where drupal requests more memory than php or a server can allow. I received several helpful responses but no answer. It was suggested that "something" was loading up memory, this was absolutely correct. The fault is Token and Pathauto modules lazy loading everything in the system, most of which is completely unnecessary for the required process, thus overloading memory. The system simply grinds to a halt. If I shut down Pathauto and Token the system runs at lightening speed. Maybe someone with php skills can rewrite Token and Pathauto Cheers Roger

asci and html question in Drupal

I changed the below from the lowest code with three quote marks to the immediate below with quote mark, apostrophe, quote mark; I wanted to have apostrophes in this field show properly on the website. When I then uploaded this (part of a custom module) I got a php error and the site did not appear. I had to restore to a backup of the module. My question is how do I get it to do what I want? Further, I need to change for the same filed "<br>" to a new line. I just want a simple table

Folks: I'm in Drupal 7, working on my front page. I simply want to make a layout grid that lets me align a small image, and a text explanation to the right. It will have some number of rows, 2 columns. With normal html, I would create a table with the left boundary equal to the width of the image and just put the text into the second column. However, the editor will not let me set the width of column 1. It only allows me to make a column with half the width of the full table. In other words, it deletes the width="200px" part of the <td> tag. I want <td width-"200px"> I've looked at the various "responsive table" modules, including fooTable and semantic views. These are just too complex for me to use to make the one simple table on my site. I don't want to make the investment of time right now to learn Views and other related modules. Big problem with Sitemap

Folks: I'm having a huge problem with XMLsitemap in Drupal 7. When I enable the xmlSitemap module, I am no longer able to log into the site with my password. It says "Access Denied". I ran update.php and got the following errors: Notice: Undefined index: update_success in update_results_page() (line 177 of /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/update.php). Warning: reset() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in update_results_page() (line 181 of /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/update.php). Warning: array_pop() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in update_results_page() (line 181 of /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/update.php). The update process was aborted prematurely while running update # in .module. All errors have been logged. This is part of an update from Drupal 6 to 7. Previously, I tried deleting all of the xmlSitemap… tables in the database, but that didn't help. There seemed to be someplace else where xmlsitemap data was stored. When I deleted those tables, then re-installed xmlsitemap, they didn't re-appear, so something was out of whack. I'm lost. Can someone give me a strategy to pursue? If I could figure out how to permanently, manually uninstall the module, I might be able to pt it back in and get the database updated correctly. I've searched through the db tables and don't see how I could uninstall the module, except to remove tables beginning with xmlsitemap. Thanks, Bill Prothero William waprothero(a)gmail.com
