The short answer here is that it depends on which access control modules you're using. If you're using the "og module" it's different then if you're using "node privacy by role". If I understand it correctly, without additional modules installed this table doesn't do anything. You should be extremely careful about modifying this table without using the API's for the appropriate access module. More info is in the hook_access on the Drupal Api documentation. Need To Know How To Move Drupal To Another Hosting Company

I am moving several sites to another hosting company. I wanted to ask if someone could explain how I should go about moving my existing Drupal site files so I will not lose archives etc.The simplest way possible is what I need to do since I only know how to use Drupal but am not familiar with some of the technical things about servers. translation (i18n) question: categories

Hi, If I create a sub category in 2 languages , the translation module lets me map the two sub categories (under 'new translation'). What exactly does this achieve? If someone posts under english, does it automatically get tagged under the spanish sub category too? Also, I want to add 'block title' to the list of translatable variables..what exactly is the variable? is there an easy way to find out? Thanks, V

IRC Hacking Files

My hosting company has twice recently claimed there are IRC hacking files in one of my accounts which uses Drupal. Has anyone had this experience or have any idea how they could be uploaded into my account like that? Is there a security hole in Drupal that could cause this? Rob

multiple menu bugs? Or a classic case of PEBKAC?

Hi, Possible bug 1: If you use the menu to customize the items, and set a menu so that users may control whether they can see it or not, and then saving your user account after that, doesn't seem to work. Here is the recipe: 1. Create a new menu (let's call it "advanced"). 2. Create a menu item under this menu (let's call it "home" and link it to index.php). 3. Enable the block in block administration. 4. Configure the block to be NOT shown by default but allow individual users to display it. 5. Edit your own account and check the box next to the advanced menu. Possible bug 2: I am not sure where to file this one. Is it a BlueMarine issue or is it a PHPTemplate issue, or what is this? When you go to the menu, and you DELETE the Primary Links menu, it still displays in the header section of my site. Typically not everyone would delete this menu, so it is possible that I am the first one to notice this, but I only deleted it becauuse I could not find a way to disable it. I am not sure whether these are bugs or not. I have searched the bug list, and couldn't find anything (although I only had a few minutes to do so - our power is going out in 25 minutes or so). If these are indeed bugs, could someone please file then, as our power will be out for the whole day, and I am not going to be back here until 3rd of January. Regards, Kobus

Hi! In previous version of Drupal I could split a node to have a "read more" section by using the  tag. It seems that I can't do that with Drupal CVS of 19 December (or thereabouts). Is this a bug, or did I miss something? My nodes were set up in various configurations to test this: either as "unlimited" or 2000 words length, so I doubt that is where the problem lies.
