databse error

I have installed drupal on my web site www.raunharman.co.in/drupal The databse has been created (using control panel). The db details are: Dbname drupal passwd 123456 When I visit the URL www.raunharman.co.in/drupal, I get the following error: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: NO) What could be the problem. Exporting nodes and comments

Hi! I will soon upgrade one of my most popular sites to Drupal 4.7. Many things have happened with Drupal since 4.2, so I can improve the site a lot (e.g. inline images, better menu structure, and so on) so I want to transfer each node and its comments together to the new site, and in that way rebuild the site from scratch, posting over node for node (including its comments) one at a time. Recreating each comment one by one seems a bit tedious, as I already have 900 or so nodes to transfer, and keeping track of which comment belongs to which node will be a nightmare... :-( Anyone with a suitable solution for this? I don't want to loose any comments, as these make up for the character of the site. If there is no such utility, then I'd have to use PHPMyAdmin and do each and every one manually as an export file, but that seems a bit over the edge. Regards and thanks in advance, Kobus

Start-End Date

Hi! Is there any module which provides any feature of Start date and End Date for a certain event. And the event must expire after the End Date. The Start and End dates must appear on the page as well as on the home page of events with the link to the main page of the event. Thanks!

Posted to Forums -> "How do I..." and mailed to support Not sure if I should've sent this to the developer's list. I've got some scripts that build story nodes from plaintext files. The files, unfortunately, have linebreaks in bizarre places. Drupal handles the paragraphs correctly when converting to HTML, but I would like to remove entirely the piece that converts linebreaks to '<br />' tags. I had assumed that this was taking place in "function _filter_autop($text)" in filter.module, but after removing every preg_replace call that involved '<br />' tags, (e.g., "$chunk = preg_replace('|<br />\s*|', "\n\n", $chunk);") from that function, I found that drupal was still inserting the unwanted linebreaks. Can someone please tell me where this is happening in drupal? I've been grepping myself silly trying to find it.

I know, but attachment module allows for metadata with files which is why Im using it. Story approval

I'm thinking about how to add news writer and editor roles in access control in drupal 4.7. News writer will only post news or stories, but stories not published without editor approval. How I can do this? Please help.

You have a missing bracket, comma or semi-colon somewhere. Fatal Error

I'm getting the following error when I try to adminster the 'modules' section. Upgrade question from 4.6.3 to 4.6.5

I see it's now 4.6.5! It seems a week or so ago it was 4.6.4! Now the question is this: Since I'm at 4.6.3, how does one go to 4.6.5? Should I go 4.6.4, then 4.6.5 or just straight to 4.6.5? Are there any database changes that could mess up there? Thanks for info! Skip

attachment - upload module problems 4.7beta

so far everything is working great for me on 4.7beta. until i tried to upload an attachment. I get different results depending on which browser is used. in Firefox, when I click attach, It appears to attach the file or at least display the file size and location, but when I click submit the files are never added. I looked to see if they were in the /files folder and its empty. In IE6 things are even weirder. I never make it past clicking the attach button. Once clicking the button, a new blank window opens up and the progress.gif animation displays in the fieldset(on the original page)..... and thats all that happens... the animation never stops until i click away from the page. I thought maybe it was a theme error since the theme is the only thing ive been working on(customizing) but its happening in bluemarine theme also. checked my /files folder and its writable(777). there's no javascript errors all permissions have been set to allow for authenticated users to upload... same problem persists throughout any drupal enabled subdomains. Maybe there is an apache dependency or something like that I missed and isnt documented? anyone run into anything like this? here is the site Im working on: http://drupal.brandform.net login: guest / pass: guest (for authoring privileges.) any suggestions? -Isaac
