[drupal-support] Lists not working?

Hi guys, I sent this message to mailman(a)drupal.org, but it seems to have bounced back. The problem now seems to be fixed - I'm once again receiving messages for all subscribed lists - but I'd be interested to know what happened with the lists over the past two or so days. Hi mailman, I haven't received any mail from any of the Drupal lists for over two days. I'm subscribed to drupal-devel, drupal-docs, drupal-support, and drupal-newsletter. I usually receive all messages that are sent (at least 20 in a day, I guess). I know that drupal-devel in particular should be sending messages, because people are posting issues for Drupal core on the web site, and issue messages are meant to be automatically sent to drupal-devel. I myself posted an issue message that should have been mailed to me, but wasn't. I've also checked the archives, and they haven't got any messages newer than two days ago. So, although I'd like to believe that this is just a problem with my mailing list account, I suspect that the lists themselves aren't working. What's going on? Are the lists down at the moment? Has anyone else reported similar problems? Please let me know what the status of the lists is, and how long it will be before this problem is resolved. Hi all, After a bad weekend I had to change hosting. The new one could not stay up for more then one week. The transfer to my backup host went like a charm were it not for the weblink module. That was the only thing that did not worked. Searching the forums and lists I found this solution : Within the file includes/menu.inc You find this line : if (strlen($arg)) { $arguments = array_merge($arguments, explode('/', $arg)); } I changed them to these lines : if (strlen($arg)) { if (is_array($arguments)) { $arguments = array_merge($arguments,explore('/',$arg)); } } As found in the forums. Only things did not get that much better. What happens with the first (original line) is that clicking on a "weblink" you get a 404 page not found, instead of the link itself. Only with the second solution, nobody can't login, not even the admin. It could be possible that something got broken during the transfer. But after reading all the posts I did see the second more likely change to be the reason. The previous hosts used PHP4, while the current one is PHP5. Has anybody a better hack or solution for this problem. Or perhaps a link to the one that I missed. No thanks to the previous hosting company. Or are there better solutions, that I still have to discover ? I have installed the flexinode module, only I would love the counting of clicks also. Thanks in advance. I'm slowly getting a grip on Drupal, and it has more hidden powers as one thinks on first sight. Even if I still miss a weblink and download module, and have to fully test a gallery, calendar (event) and the i18n module. I did not regret sticking to Drupal. We are getting there one "druppel" ;-) at a time. Hi all, As I'm still working on the new site, and implementing some of those great modules and more I encountered something with Drupal version 4.6.1. When adding these modules (1 or all) : banner ecommerce flexinode Then I can't get into the modules activation page. Regardless of the browser I'm using. Anyone knows how come, would be much appreciated. Because these are really good modules not to miss. At least I thing ;-) since I did not have the chance to test them :-( On my earlier post I spoke about blank screens. These have for sure something to do with the server configuration of your hosting. As I started to test other CMS's as well, to see if they have it to, I have found others with the same problem. And since I switched hosting I'm pretty much sure that's a relation between the server configuration and one or two lines of code. Don't worry, even if everything turns out white, I'll stick to Drupal. Eventually with the help of some more experienced friendly people we kill this thing to make Drupal even better to run smoothly on everything. Where to start when it's server related you should say. The modules that always deliver blank screens and make your complete site go white are : event taxonomy_image Regardless of the browser I'm using. I would love to get my hands on those two for testing :-O I have to be careful with : image img_assist With the last two. If I change something, still don't know what, these two have the same problem. Only then on the browser family your are working with. So if you are using firefox, then all mozilla based browsers go blank. In short. Why, or what code locked the module page with the first three modules ? Why, or what code conflicts with something to make the screen go blank within the last four modules ? As I'm still new to Drupal, perhaps there is somebody who hacked into these modules or has had a more or less same problem. Hello, As I mentioned before, we are working on publishing a magazine/ezine offering community, real estate, and business content. I created three taxonomies. 1. Content 2. Community 3. Volume, Issue, Date Under 1. Content I have the categories for the content. The problem is, when you view from the other two taxonomies, content is in first in last out order sorted by date. How can I change this so the content is sorted by the first taxonomy. In it's current display, the last two taxonomies are not helpful as the content is in no relevant order. Only in order of date of submission. But, above each story/article/node, it shows the three taxonomies assigned, Example: 1. Primary Content, Business News 2. Washington, DC 3. I'm using drupal for a small private intranet, and am thrilled with the new event.module ical export feature. However, my intranet is designed to prevent any content from being displayed unless the user is logged in, so ical fails to fetch the subscribed calendar. Is there a way to get ical to login? Cheryl

Suppose a PC that access Internet through a proxy. It's possible to make Drupal use the proxy for syndicate feeds from sites on the other side of the proxy, ie: internet ? Regards, maykel

[drupal-support] can't update the link in weblinks in Drupal 4.6

Hi, I try to change some weblinks, but it seems Drupal does not save the new URL when I change it. Drupal does save the body if I change it. It does not have to do with caching, because even if I use the command line mysql client, I can see the urls are not changed. No errors are reported in the Drupal log. [drupal-support] How to upgrade (the modules)

Hello My site wikinerds.org is based on Drupal 4.5.2 and uses the modules Copyright, Amazon Items, Excerpt, Feedback, Print-Friendly. I was told the Print module works ok with 4.6, and I have developed a 4.6-compatible version of Amazon Items (available from http://nsk.wikinerds.org/amazon_items/ if anyone needs it). The other modules have released 4.6 versions. I have read the docs but I am not sure about the correct upgrade sequence. What I understand is that I will have first to upgrade to 4.6.0 and then to 4.6.1. But I am not sure what to do with the modules: Should they be disabled before the upgrade and re-enabled after I upgrade them to 4.6? How do we upgrade a module? Is it sufficient just to copy the new files? What if the 4.6 module version has different database schema than the 4.5 version? I am going to first do all this on my home server, which uses MySQL 4.1.18 instead of my wikinerds.org server which is MySQL 3.23. Will there be any problem if I just upload the MYD, MYI, frm files from home to wikinerds.org? -- NSK http://portal.wikinerds.org

[drupal-support] 4.5.x to 4.6.1 upgrade and blocks

I just upgraded from 4.5.x to 4.6.1 and had to manually create the queue table and alter the watchdog table to add severity. All seemed well until I clicked on the blocks section of the admin menu and my left and right columns disappeared and only the previous center column remained. This is now the case with all the themes. What's going on?
