I think it's best to upgrade to each version separatly, then you're sure that you wont miss anything.

i obviously want to get this up to 4.6.9 asap. is it ok to go 4.6.4 > 4.6.9 or do i have to go 4.6.4>.5>.6>.7>.8>.9? i am familiar with the untar, do diffs etc malarkey, just want to know if i can get away with doing it once rather than five times.

It seems there are no API or database changes between these releases.
