I have verified a site with google and bing but now the site verification codes are sitting on the first 'line' of the site. Why are they appearing there I ask myself and you? I used the site-verify module. Anyone have any experience with this?
It says in the site verify configure page that the meta tag : "This is the full meta tag provided for verification. Note that this meta tag will only be visible in the source code of your front pagehttp://www.tony-mac.com/drupal/admin/config/search/verifications/2/@frontpage.". But it is also visible on the page. What can I do to disappear it?

Found the answer on the issues page of the site verify module. One has to enter not just the meta tag but the tags as well: <meta name="google-site-verification" content="the verification code" />
