When I visit the page I am not seeing any errors. Is there a tool i should use to check other than my browser?

I am working on a site for a client that was developed by someone else with a very simple Zegine theme. Our changes have all been to views and changing which size fields show up and stuff like that. We had installed Devel but it has been uninstalled. Without any clues to when the problem started TinyMCE is not showing up and you can no longer expand areas on node/add node/x/edit like Publishing options. I have checked that everything I know to look for looks right and I would appreciate any help I can get on what to do for this client to make it work.
Are there are any JS errors? Are all JS and CSS files referenced correctly and found?
Those are the first two things to check. -- [ Drupal support list | http://lists.drupal.org/ ]
I use Firebug for CSS but had not used it for scripts. There are a few Java errors connected to tinyMCE but what would cause them to show up now and not before. Tiny worked Thursday but not Sunday.
Thanks, Steve

Firefox has a plugin called Firebug which is a fantastic tool for this. Install it and you will see. :) -- [ Drupal support list | http://lists.drupal.org/ ]

"Javascript errors" to be precise. Java is a different language.
Why now? Hard to say--could be something else changed on the site--without examining it it's very difficult to say.
Is this Drupal 6? If so, do you have the option to compress and optimize JS files checked on the performance page? If so, I would uncheck that and see if it clears up.
