How do i add a Image Module gallery to a menu without using a http link?
Martin,
Not sure I totally understand your question..., but this is how you do what I think you are asking.
1. Go to example.com/image (replace "example.com" with your site domain). There is a listing of your existing galleries. 2. Click on one of the galleries. That takes you to the gallery. 3. Now that you are in the desired gallery, copy the part of the path that comes after the forward slash separating your domain from the root installation. For example, the path might be: example.com/image/tid/20. you would copy: image/tid/20 4. Go to: admin/build/menu/list 5. Select the menu you want to add the link to, or click "add menu" if menu doesn't yet exist. 6. Once on the desired menu, click, "Add item" 7. In the very first field, call "Path" you paste in : image/tid/20 (this is according to the example above, you actually pase in what you copied from the gallery URL.
Note that you do *not *put in the forward slash sepating the domain from the Drupal install.
Let us know if this answers your question.

Yes this is what I wanted and what I worked out about 5 minutes after I posted ;)
Thanks anyway!
Martin,
Don't forget to post back when that happens telling folks you don't need the help anymore! Or even posting the answer yourself for folks who find the support request via a search engine cause they had the same problem as you.

When creating your menu entry for you gallery the path that you need to enter in the path field is image/tid for the top list of galleries and if you want to goto a specific menu it is image/tid/<id> where the id is found by hovering over the link to the gallery on the image/tid link.
Good morning, everyone,
Is there a way to place a poll inside of a block? Also, is there a way to get rid of the little red "Sticky" icon?
Thanks so much,
Leslie

http://drupal.org/project/nodeasblock or http://drupal.org/project/nodeblockmay help you.

Thanks Sivaji
Leslie,
Regarding the sticky thing... that icon is coming from your theme. What theme are you using?
Regarding the poll in a block. If what you want is the most recent poll in a block, then you don't need the modules that sivaji suggested. The poll module, as limited as it is, does come with a "most recent poll" block which will show up in the "disabled" section of your block admin page.

Leslie,
I think the easiest way to do that is to use the views module to create a block display with the node (poll) you want to show.
To remove the sticky icon, uncheck the 'sticky at top of lists' checkbox on the poll edit screen.
Hope this helps.

Leslie,
Regarding the "sticky" question, Trevor's answer presumes you are looking to get rid of sticky behavior... which indeed is done by unchecking the "sticky for lists" which is in the publishing options section of a form for adding content.
I thought you wanted to keep the "sticky" behavior but change the styling of it in theme. Do clarify.

Leslie,
I think you want want to delete lines 12 and 13 in their entirety of the file called: node.tpl.php file which can be found at: marinelli/node.tpl/php. I'm assuming that you haven't created a custom node.tpl.php file for your Giordani sub-theme. I'm also assuming you want that sticky icon to go away completely, not show up sometimes and not at others.
I put the specific code that you should delete in the following pastebin so you can make sure you are deleting precisely what you should be deleting and nothing else. Note that at the pastebin it refers to lines 1 and 2... that's just because it counts on its own, not aware of the context of the original file. http://pastebin.ca/1574308
If and when you update to a newer version of Marinelli then this change will likely be overwritten (depends on how you do it). If you aren't going to be making a lot of changes to the theme, then just have a place where you list these changes and it shouldn't take you too long to make them again if an update over writes these changes.
You might also want to leave lines 12 and 13 blank so that the line numbers don't shift.
Good luck,
Shai

Thanks so much for your help. I did get the poll to display in the block, cool.
As far as the "sticky" icon...if I uncheck that, then that node will no longer display at the top of my page, where it needs to be. I just want it to not also show the icon! I'm using Giordani and have gone through all the settings that I can find, with no luck....

I think you might want to take a look at the node.tpl.php file within the theme folder and look for php variables that resemble what you see below (it might not be exact):
<?php print $sticky?>
it might be in the node classes for that node type, or deeper in the structure. If you have trouble finding it, I can take a deeper look later tonight and grab you a line number within that file.
Cheers!
