Not a perfect match, but if you have taxonomy terms applied to content, you can search develop custom feeds for those using the taxonomy browser module. Sounds like a good feature request for the search module though?

Is there a module out there that will let me aggregate or display an RSS feed on my site which will only use items in that RSS feed which match some sort of regular expression or other filtering criteria? I don't want to display all of the items in the feed, only those 10% or so that match my desired topics.
