is there a recommended way to setup certain areas of a site so that only certain role members can access certain areas?
some of the modules i tried seem to not be compatible with 4.6 (taxonomy)
otherwise i have found a lot of discussion, but not really sure if there is anything current and working for 4.6?
ideally i want to be able to setup "staff" pages, ie an authorized role is needed, not just anon/registered.

thanks for any help

It depends on what you want exactly. But here are some solutions * node privacy by role * taxonomy access * securesite * organic groups
