I've using Drupal for a while - I think it's fantastic!
Question: Is there any way to control the location/format of blocks such as "Search"? When I elect to have it placed in the header it takes up a bit more than double the horizontal space (I think) is required.
The Theme that I've chosen is PushButton so all blocks are indicated by a header Square (Left justified) with the White Arrow within (arrow pointing to lower right), a separating line under the square, then the contents of the block (menu, Search form etc...)
It would be great if you could control the formatting of the block segments (eg: Making the header Square very small or even eliminating it, or maybe forcing the content of the block to Right Justify? etc...)
Any suggestions, or are these based on the Theme and therefore it is what it is?
Thank you
Cosmo
Hi all!
I am going to have a membership fee on my web site, and need to have a simple way for people to pay their membership.
Is there any support for this in Drupal? Any advice?

The only module which seems to support this is (currently has versions for 4.5 and 4.6, though there is a patch for the CVS version which supports 4.7): http://drupal.org/project/paypal_subscription
It's also possible that the E-Commerce module will support it, though that may be overkill: http://drupal.org/project/ecommerce
There is also this related module (has versions for 4.6 and 4.7): http://drupal.org/project/premium

Your question is a very complex one and certainly needs to be chopped up (by you) into a lot of smaller sub-questions. What payment method? Who decides when someone has payed. What workflow did you envision? Who is "member". Etcetcetc.
But most impotatant, please do not reply to other messages. This breaks the threading of discussions. Even when you remove all the text from the mail you reply to, your headers still contain the information about the reply!

Every block has a unique id. You can see it in reveal codes. So by editing your theme's stylesheet, you can use that to override any formatting for any specific block or its components.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Laura,
I am a bit confused - What do you mean "You can see it in "reveal code"?
Are you referring to an Admin level menu selection? -----Original Message----- From: support-bounces@drupal.org [mailto:support-bounces@drupal.org]On Behalf Of Laura Scott Sent: Sunday, July 02, 2006 12:04 PM To: support@drupal.org Subject: Re: [support] Formatting Blocks?

I'm talking about in your browser. But let's back up a bit: If you want to get serious about redesigning your Drupal-powered site, you will want to gain a familiarity with cascading style sheets (CSS) or you will be ever frustrated. There are a lot of online resources. Here's a start in wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Cascading_Style_Sheets
I've never used it, but you might also find this module helpful, I don't know: http://drupal.org/project/themedev
I hope this helps.
