Folks: I am using the Nicemenus module to make dropdown menus for the main menus in Drupal 7.12. I set the config for the Nicemenu to have no block title in the "Main Menu Links" block, and it's set to <none>. But, there is still space for the title on the page. Obviously, ugly.
You can see the page at; http://jazz.earthednet.org/
How can I get the navigation menu to originate at the top of the block? Best, Bill

Not sure where the top of the block or region is but I had a similar issue and tried this: margin-top: -24px; in CSS with success. Tony
PS There is jazz in Santa Barbara?

Anthony: Thanks for the suggestion. There is very limited jazz in Santa Barbara. The site is a hobby of mine, that I'm hoping will help connect musicians here. I'm a jazz hobbyist and it's hard to connect with musicians that just want to play, but aren't pros. Thanks again, Bill

You need float containment on #block-nice_menus-2, maybe add a clearfix class to it, or other method.
fireh.
Firehouse, Thanks. I sort of have it working now, but perhaps not optimally. I'm pretty much a newbie with CSS. Could you tell me a bit more about flat containment. Bill

This is the reference they usually gave at #css in irc.freenode.net. http://colinaarts.com/articles/float-containment/
floated element is taken out of flow, but unlike absolute positioned element, can be contained by its parent element, I think that kinda summarized it.
The vertical space was caused by the margin-bottom of #block-nice_menus-2, err, I think.
fireh.
Bill, I used chrome to look at it and everything seemed fine.
