We actually used this a while back as part of some data migration -- views bulk operations has this in place. It's been a few months, but IIRC, it worked well:

But the image at this page report this "Update path alias (pathauto_node_operations_update)". If I don't wrong understand it, with VBO I can update pathauto of nodes. I need to update pathauto for terms.
