For the menu you have created, instead of passing the URL, type in "<front>", this will take to the homepage that has been setup.

Hi,
I'm having some difficulty with the Home Page and the menu.
The link in the header takes me to mywebsite.tld/ And the menu item “home” takes me to mywebsite.tld/node/6.
For SEO reasons I would like the menu item to point to mywebsite.tld/
The node/6 is what I sent in the site information for the default home page.
Any suggestions how I might fix this problem?
Thank you so much for your help!!
Keith

You can also use Global Redirect (http://drupal.org/project/globalredirect). It will redirect to <front> whenever node/6 is called.
