like all cvs in drupal you just need to try it. ATM most of the contrib modules have not been updated to use the node node functions so the creation of nodes may be an issue.
Gordon.
I did try it, but it had too many issues for me. It seemed to really have a hard time knowing when users were online if I recall correctly. There were more issues but I don't recall further specifics. I was trying to use it on 4.6.3 so that may have been the entire problem. I removed it. I'd like to hear how you fare with it. exactly, the im module indeed has hard time knowing which users are online. and yes, so far I never succeeded in implimenting it. I am using it on drupal 4.6 3 so that may be the issue. I do like the interactivity it can provide if the module was more successful. by the way, for those of you who don't know what the IM module (instant messenger) is, here's a link to see it: http://drupal.org/node/14553 regards, mohammed. ----- Original Message ----- From: Skip Taylor To: drupal-support@drupal.org Sent: Sunday, October 02, 2005 1:16 AM Subject: Re: [drupal-support] any one tried the im module?

I am the author of that module. IIRC it uses the same logic as the "Who's online" block does.

The module is a based on a silly idea that I made into code on a three hour train-ride. Don't expect too much. :p
