Hi,
I have installed Drupal6 on my Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze.
It's ok except when I try to install Wysiwyg editors, then I can't to install the following editors:/// /CKEditor Whizzywig jWYSIWYG
I have extracted the downloaded stuff and copied into the approppriate directory but my Drupal6 can't see it's version number (in Hungarian) eg. for CKEditor: /CKEditor/ verziószáma nem érzékelhető.
I have successfully installed: openWYSIWYG YUI TinyMCE markItUp NicEdit WYMeditor
but none of them can to use for editing pages. When I want to edit a new or an existing page, I can't see any editor tools out there, but I doesn't switch off any editor there.
How can I solve this problem? Any advices will be appreciated!

I don't know the answer to your specific problem, but Jan Lampton wrote an excellent tutorial on how to securely setup an wysiwyg editor ( http://wysiwyg.jenlampton.com/). Maybe, you'll find your answer there.

Assuming that you have installed the WYSIWYG module, you still need to configure the wysiwyg profiles in the input filters section of your drupal site. Wysiwyg editors are associated with input filters which are in tern associated with content.

I have installed the WYSIWYG module. I follow the http://wysiwyg.jenlampton.com/
tutorial and try again to install CKEditor. Here one can see the pictures:
http://www.archive.org/download/Wysiwyg_profiles/Wysiwyg_profiles.jpg
http://www.archive.org/download/Wysiwyg_profiles/sites_all_libraries_ckedito...
From the pictures one can see that I have installed WYSIWYG module and have copied the ckeditor/ directory to the right place but my Drupal6 can't see it's version number... :( so it think that that CKEditor isn't installed..
However I thank you booth for your help and for pointing me to the grait tutorial of Jen Lampton! :)

WYSIWYG has trouble detecting the latest CKEditor. http://drupal.org/node/1151804
Try using the previous version of CKEditor - http://ckeditor.com/download/releases

I'd Check permissions next. Does the apache user have permissions to access this directories and the ckeditor.js file?
