Yes. I tried for that, It support me to send mail for every content type. After add any type of content it sent mail to particular role.

My requirement is only for forum topic. Also I have to add forum topic via mail. and reply any forum via mail.

My scenario is, I am using drupal 6 and I have added advanced forum into it.

So in this while I add any new forum topic or reply any existing forum then, I need to send mail to all user in my site.

Mail contains name of post-user, link of forum posted and content of forum.

But I realize that any how I have to set this with the help of my service provider and add this functionality.

mmmm.., you have to use mailhandler and listhandler
