I was playing around with some css concerning the menus a:link {color:#FF0000;} /* unvisited link */ a:visited {color:#00FF00;} /* visited link */ a:hover {color:#FF00FF;} /* mouse over link */
and now my admin menu toolbar is hidden/invisible/not there.

Use firebug to view the hhtml/css source and see what has changed, you should find it in the nested source code.
