manually disable custom block

OK ... I've managed to implement a custom block that hoses my login block (amazing what happens when you forget to close your form tag! ... <smacks self over head>. I need to disable it from the back end. I'm looking at the blocks table, but don't see a way. Any one have an idea on this one? And of course I'm supposed to orient a few people to putting content into the system in a little bit .. .ugggh! TIA, Jason

menu module permissions

Hello everybody, I've created a role called editor. Editors can create content, edit content and are able to add new content to the menu whereever they want. They can also change the place of a content in the menu. But the problem is, they shouldn't be able to administer the actual menus. I mean they shouldn't be able to add a menu, a menu item, or change the expanded state of a menu, etc... In order to do this, I gave the administration rights for the menu module to the editor, because they have to place their new content on the menu. But this permission also gives them the ability to do things that I dont want them to have access to, as I mentioned above. Could anyone give me some advice on what I should? Thanks...

massmailer issue...

how to handle internal links

I'm building a site that is currently in a sub-directory of my web server document root, but when it is finally deployed it will be in the document root. So currently node 99 is at, e.g. http://example.com/dev/node/99 ... but when I deploy the site it will be at ... http://example.com/node/99 My question is, what is the best way to link to node/99 from the body of another node, and have it work on my dev server as well as the production server? Is there an input filter that converts a URL that is relative to drupal's root into an absolute URL? Ray

I've also done 'chown root.apache ...' where ... is the modules directory and the ecommerce directory. What I'd really like to see is a document that details the permissions that are required for Drupal 4.7. I can't get digg blog this feature to work with drupal 4.7. I've tried all combinations of settings but it won't work. Anyone have any luck with this? The only advice out there that I have seen is to use the wordpress option. I tried that, no luck. -- David Grant

Just closing the loop on this. Randal - I assume you didn't ever solve (or maybe you did solve it, but didn't share your solution).
