img_assist: troubles since last upgrade

Hi, I just upgraded a bunch of modules (notably image-5.x-1.3.tar.gz & img_assist-5.x-1.4.tar.gz) and now all pictures previously inserted with img_assist don't work anymore. Here is something strange I saw while tweaking: writing this: [img_assist|nid=326|title=Paragliding French Open 2007|desc=Logo du French Open 2007|link=node|align=none|width=640|height=640] outputs this: <a href="/photo/paragliding-french-open-2007"></a>Paragliding French Open 2007: Logo du French Open 2007 while writing this: [img_assist|nid=326|title=Paragliding French Open 2007|desc=Logo du French Open 2007|link=none|align=none|width=640|height=0] outputs this: <img src="http://parateam.com/system/files/images/froglogo_1000.thumbnail.gif" alt="Paragliding French Open 2007: Logo du French Open 2007" title="Paragliding French Open 2007: Logo du French Open 2007" class="image thumbnail" width="100" height="100" />Paragliding French Open 2007: Logo du French Open 2007 i.e. if I put "height=0" at least something is displayed. Apparently there's something fishy with width/height computation. I'm running drupal5.1 on php4. If someone has a very very quick fix (I'm going for 3 weeks holidays far away tonight, and would like to have my site back up and running before that) I would be grateful. Image module: heavy problems

Hi all, maybe I'm stupid, but I'm having heavy problems using the Image module in Drupal 5.1, GD 2.0.8, Image module 5.x-1.3. I never can't create a new Image node with different error messages (not beeing useful at all). E.g.: 1) a .jpg out of Photoshop, dimensions 821x376, size 18 KB gives me this error message: Unable to create scaled Preview image See the screenshot at: http://georg-rehfeld.de/test/drupal_image_problem_1.jpg The strange thing is, that the preview actually _was_ created, as can be seen in the screen shot. 2) a .png file out of Photoshop, dimensions 570x457, size 41 KB gives me another error: You must upload an image. Shot at: http://georg-rehfeld.de/test/drupal_image_problem_2.jpg Again, the image I had choosen, _was_ actually uploaded and obviously processed (thumbnail generated) ... and believe me, that red marked field wasn't empty, when I pressed the 'Preview' button. Besides, the 'Attachments' section is empty. Same with a .gif file, dimensions 157x157, size 6 KB. What am I missing? Most obviously I have done something wrong, because the image module seems to be far away from alpha/beta and others seem to be able to use it. Any suggestions are very welcome. If you need more information to help, I'll provide it! Strange issue on tables (border-top)

Hello, on last site I made using Zen template I have a strange issue. On Firefox, Safari... (not IE) Every table showed have a 1px gray border-top. HYPERLINK "http://www.festivalshakespeare.com/materialgrafic"http://www.festivalshakes peare.com/materialgrafic I haven't found on any CSS this property applyed. Some ideas? Actions Tutorial

Hi there, Is there a good actions tutorial somewhere? I've searched all the obvious places in the handbook and forums in D.O., but I haven't found what I'm looking for. I know how to copy-paste-learn-understand, but a tutorial with an overall picture, if such exists, would help a lot: 1. How to write an action? (what is available to me and what should I return...) 2. How to fire up an action? 3. How to integrate it with my module, and other modules? How to...? Thanks, Zohar

allowing anon. users to view unpublished nodes with a key?

Hello, I wonder if there is a little utility module, which would allow an admin to give friends a key to view an article that is not yet ready for publication, i.e. an unpublished node. The key would allow the anonymous users to view the corresponding unpublished node. I had a look at the list of modules, but I am not sure in which category to look. Possible applicable categories all have hundreds of contrib modules in them! If this module does not exist, I probably will write one later and publish it in contrib. CVS/SVN best practices

Hi all, I'm a Drupal newby, having read this list for 7 days now, before attempting to post (but didn't search the archives thoroughly). For a new Drupal site I use a Subversion (SVN) Repository, to be able to track/revert changes to every modification I/we do to the site, e.g. theme adaptions. My current problem is: in many Drupal files (core and otherwise) there is that special CVS/SVN string "$Id ... $". When I now check in the original Drupal sources into _my_ SVN repository all these $Id$ strings get replaced with my/our commit info. In the first place this would be an (unwanted) fake: I/we ain't authors/ responsible for these files at all! And, when synchronizing the local working copy with the life web server, all these files show up as modified! Which is very annoying, because _real_ changes are hidden amoung these fakes! I would like to read, what's _your_ best practice to avoid that. Error 404 when i copy live site in localhost.

Hello to all, I take advantage of to present to me since this one is my first contact with this one list . I have the following problem, I have to try to replicate an installation that is in production doing the following thing: - Export of db of production. (through phpmyadmin of Cpanel) - Creation of db in the localhost and import of the data and structures previously generated. (through line of commandos since the volume was high) - Unloading to the localhost of all the files of the Web. (by means of wget) - Change of configuration of the files of drupal to adapt them to the new data base in the localhost and the URL bases. - Make the Virtualhost in apache2. - Inclusion of local site in /etc/hosts file aiming at 127.0.0.1. The drupal version is the 4.7, Apache/2.2.3 and PHP/5.2.1 The access of the main page works perfectly, the problem is when itching on any link the answer always is: Not Found The requested URL /www.abcdef.com/pp/ was not found on this server. You can orient on how solving the problem to Me? Thank you very much by your time and it helps. Greetings

Sorting problem

Drupal 5.1. I have a section where my musicians create their own profile. The default Name field is the musician's name. Now I have a problem sorting them by last name. I then relabeled Name field to Last Name, and added a new field called First Name. Now the title is only Last Name. I have played with Contemplate but to no avail. IF locale show region

Archiving?

Hello, I have nodes for each shows, which are presented to the front page as well as gig schedule section. I didn't want to use calendar module for a few reasons I don't go into right now. What I am looking for is to archive each schedule nodes automatically when the date passed. I still want them to be viewable when visiter wants to see where we usually perform, but removed from the schedule main section as well as promoted front page section.
