I'm trying to create an area on my site that will list all of the files that have been uploaded as attachments to nodes of a particular type and in a particular taxonomy vocabulary. I would like it sorted by the taxonomy terms associated with them, and displayed in pretty columns. The links should go directly to the files is possible, rather than just their associated nodes. A more complete description, along with a mockup image of what I want it to look like, is available at http://virtualnorthstar.org/project/issues/file-download-section. Can anyone give me some direction on how to approach this, or better yet, code that I could just plug in and run with? multisite

Thanks for putting this together. I've been able to setup multisite as follows: sub.domain.edu sub.domain.edu/site2 However, when I'm in the admin section for site2, any changes I attempt to make are global. Such that if I'm here: http:// sub.domain.edu/site2/admin, clicking on any option in the admin panel brings me back to here: http://sub.domain.edu/admin/... Add some info to $user

Hi all. I need to add some infos to $user variable. New Ecommerce Product Type with Subproducts

I have a shop which needs to have some products free shipping. I thought the easiest way to do this would be to copy the 'apparel' module and rename all instances of 'apparel' to 'freeshipper' and then just NOT activate my flexicharge shipping charges for that new product type. I tried this but no subproducts are available for my freeshipper type products. I have poked around on the subproducts code and I don't see what's going wrong. In particular I see this line: * Product types that return themselves * as part of the 'subproduct_types' productapi option are considered * to support variation-type subproducts. An example is the apparel * module in ecommerce/contrib. and I indeed have (same as apparel.module): case 'subproduct_types': return array('freeshipper'); in function freeshipper_productapi Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Or any solution to my basic problem of how to create free shipping products? Thanks, Fred

Blank page of death after permission change

I have found out recently that on the admin page for administering permissions after changing any permission I get a "blank page of death". The permission is changed anyway, and everything else continues working normally after hitting the "back" key or opening any part of my site. I'm using 5.6 (planning to update to 5.7 anytime soon, but haven't found the time to do it). How would I go diagnosing this? Which logs are useful to check, or anything else that would help me diagnosing a "blank page of death"? It's sort of frustrating to not get any type of error message in this type of situations. -- Walter Garcia-Fontes Barcelona

Restrict to more than one menu on node add

customising user search in admin

I'm having trouble customising the user search and help functions. I have functions named theme_user_search and theme_user_help in my templates.php, but they appear not be getting used... all other theme_* functions are being used though. Is there anything else I need to do? The core fuctions are in the user module - user_search and user_help. It mentions they are implemenatations hook_search and hook_help - do I need to customise these, too? I have noticed pages are often cached - I have cleared out the cache tables in the DB, but that doesn't help.. so it appears my functions aren't being called. I'm using Drupal 5.3 and PHP 5.2.4 Robert

Change user contact page title

Hi, I want to change user's contact page title. Usually when I change the title I do it from a theme function, but at contact module the page is generated in one function, whithout passing the output on theme functions so.. I don't know where to do that Anyone have an idea or the same problem? Finding a decent developer

We are looking for a developer mainly to: - customise existing modules - create 1 or 2 small new modules (one example: http://drupal.org/node/228892) This post isn't meant to a "help wanted" plea, more of a request for information as to how we can best find developers in drupal. I've posted a couple of jobs on the .org forum Paid Work section and not had much luck. I see people posting jobs there "for around $50" and get replies! Maybe because I never mention our budget, perhaps that's the problem. My thinking is that developers will quote an hourly rate or a quote for the job and I can decide to pay it or not. What do other people do in this respect? Is there a better way of finding eager Drupal developers? Neil
