listings of nodes by taxonomy terms empty under Drupal 6.8

Greetings, I recently ported a website from Drupal 5.5 to Drupal 6.8. Everything seems fine except one or two things. The first is this. Please compare: http://storiafse.net/old/taxonomy/term/67 (Drupal 5.5) http://storiafse.net/taxonomy/term/67 (Drupal 6.8) as you can see, all the nodes are still there in Drupal 6.8 and properly categorized, but they aren't listed in the new website when I look in the taxonomy, that is the 6.8 Url returns an empty list. Why? A (maybe related) less serious issue is in the chronological index view I made up at http://storiafse.net/indicecronologico. This should be a list of node titles grouped by year. However, the year is repeated before every node, no matter how I rearrange the view. Is this a bug? How can I fix this? Thanks, M.

Development and Production environments

Hello All, I am trying to set up an already live drupal site with a development, testing and production (live) environment. I started by checking all the code and a mysqldump into a subversion repository. I then began to set up a development environment on the same server that the live site was running on. I got everything set up (development database, vhost, etc.) and went to the development site, it worked fine but after running for about 1 or 2 minutes it crashed the server. I restarted the server and left it running just fine for a while, then I tried visiting the development site again with the same results. (Spectacular crash). I tried setting up a dev environment on my local computer and the same exact thing happened. I find this to be incredibly strange since the live site runs perfect on the same exact server, with the same exact settings. Has anyone else run into this problem or have any ideas what could be causing it? I was pondering that it could be memcached but then that shouldn't have caused a problem running solo on my box. Database setup for multisite with content not shared

Hi I have a double site setup, where i want to share everything except the content and some tables like variables, etc The site is working and i am sharing content type, views, theme etc Now that i start adding content i notice how images and dates get garbled when between the 2 sites. Eventually there are some other tables that i need to keep separate, probably the tables that link fields to nodes. Ok, with a little modification by myself all works! example: RewriteRule ^nvda(.*) http://www.spazioausili.net/~nvda_italia/nvda$1 [L,R=permanent] the missing things were the (.*) and $1. now works perfectly. and this is a solution also for all users that have plesk and want delete the ~ character before each webuser, and can't use symbolik link. Embed a music player and avoid reload

Organic Groups, Views 2 and Calendars.

I would like to set up a calendar for each organic group. I don't much like the events module, using Views 2 and Calendar is so much better. My problem is that I can't work out how to show a calendar of events which belong to an OG. I have a group events content type which has a DateTime field (with a to date) and have created content which appears as an event page in the group. I have cloned the calendar view and added 'Organic groups: Group node' as an argument which is validated as Group Node with argument type Node ID and a date argument 'Date: Date Content: Start Date (field_start_time value) OR Content: Start Date (field_start_time value2) '. The url for the calendar page is group/calendar. My group page is node 606, when I visit group/calendar/606 I get no events. Where am I going wrong? -- Martin Tomes martin(a)tomes.org.uk

can you help me with .htaccess and redirection of drupal?

Hi, when I setup some basic redirection rules, also for path external to drupal, Drupal adds some strings after the URL. Now I explain: I write this simple line in the main .htaccess: Redirect /nvda http://www.spazioausili.net/~nvda_italia/nvda So, all request thatgoes to nvda must go to the nvda_italia/nvda folder. It works but with an error... in fact, if I type: www.spazioausili.net/nvda my browser is redirected to: http://www.spazioausili.net/~nvda_italia/nvda/?q=nvda so as you can see, drupal adds the /?q=nvda at the end. How can I remove it? I think that this depends of this lines in my .htaccess but I don't know how to modify them: # Rewrite current-style URLs of the form 'index.php?q=x'. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA] How can I solve it? thanks. -- Simone Dal Maso. Front page forgets that it has children

Under some circumstances the menu item for the front page of my site http://www.ablalenguas.com/ forgets that it has children and doesn't display them. I'm using primary links as the source of secondary links so normally when I click on the homepage link (Abla Lenguas) it displays the secondary links in the left column. However if I perform certain issues, e.g. edit another page, then go back to the homepage, there are no secondary links displayed. It seems to be a caching issue because the problem is always (temporarily) resolved if I click "save" on the admin page where you change the theme. Also, sometimes when I clear the cache the problem is resolved. Anyone have any idea about this? It's not theme-specific as it happened on Garland and my current theme. Fletch

Content Types and Permissions

Hello, I made a content type called "private" and I want to make it visible only to users with the "staff" role. I was hoping someone could tell me how to do that. I already set the "create" and "edit" permissions, but I cannot find any way to change view permissions. Any ideas? I am very hesitant to try the taxonomy_access module. I've had problems with it in the past. Daniel.
