Site Slow

Drupal 6.8 Since I installed OG following Bill book, I am experiencing site being ridiculously slow even on my local dev machine. update.php still runs quickly as expected so I am sure something is wrong. I have truncated cache tables numerous times but to no avail. Rebuilt permission, update.php, nothing seems to help. I did turn page cache on, and optimize css/javascript on but seeing no difference. Any idea? Translation strings not found

Hi I am trying to translate the date strings (days names, months names, etc) but somehow the string search box can t find them. I a previous Drupal and similar Drupal installation i could find them without any problem, the only difference with this latter site it is that it is a multisite (www.mysite.com/site_x), could that be the problem? Simone -- .wmv , .wma , .pps along with all proprietary Windows formats won t be accepted and/or viewed....

OG Messaging Problem

Drupal 6.8 I have not been able to broadcast to OG group. If I set the format to Filtered HTML, I get: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:25 (Connection refused) /sites/all/modules/messaging/messaging_phpmailer/ PHPMailer/class.smtp.php on line 122. I assume my ISP isn't allowing PHPMailer to be used? So, I set it to simple text. I don't get the error message but the broadcast message is only sent to user/1, but not to the OG members. I also see "x messages are in the cue" which doesn't seems to want to leave the cue even after cron run. Panels 2 6.x-2.0-alpha3 - How to setup the URL field

Any suggestions on why I cannot see (or where I should look for) the URL field in the 6.x-2.0-alpha3 of Panels? I only see Title and Teaser, but not URL and therefore cannot try the quick things mentioned below. TIA p.s. Upgrade and move a site at the same time?

I've got a site running on drupal-5. I want to upgrade it to drupal-6, and at the same time I'm also moving the site to a new hosting service. What's the best strategy here? Can I just dump my 5.x database on one host, copy the sql file to the other, and load it directly into my clean 6.x database? ---------------- Roy Smith roy(a)panix.com

hi all I am in middle of an application which requires the functionality of subscription. I am using drupal 6.6 and wanted to provide functionality for authenticated user. So that certain files could be send by mail to registered users. Please suggest some module for this or the way to implement the functionality. Thanks in advance --Sharmishtha

URL aliases not working

Hi, Suddenly, the URL aliases do not work. I have a bunch or "page not found" errors of clients trying to access them. The setup is Drupal 6.8, Pathauto 1.1, Token dev. (Dec 11th). I've tried deleting all aliases and re-creating them (bulk update), emptying the cache, but no luck. No url aliases appear. Drupal does not like APC

Hello, Today I asked my web host to install the Alternative PHP Cache (APC) and when they did, Drupal died with the error: [Sat Jan 10 00:05:01 2009] [error] [client 121.247.173.39] PHP Fatal error: Cannot run code from this file in conjunction with non encoded files in /var/www/html/community/themes/garland/block.tpl.php on line 412 Turning off APC "solved" the problem. What's really frustrating is that block.tpl.php only has 8 lines, so the error is almost meaningless. It might not even have anything to do with Garland. Any ideas? This isn't critical, but I would like to get better performance out of my server if I can. Cheers, Daniel.

Failure to unpublish

I have encountered a strange problem in Drupal 6. I can't create nodes that remain unpublished (through deselection of the "publish" checkbox); nor can I "unpublish" a published document by selecting and unpublishing it in the content list. When I give the command, I get a successful update message, but the item remains "published." I have user/1 privileges. I think it cannot be a privileges issue. Am I missing something obvious? Adding Audio area to content type with CCK

I have the audio module uploaded to my site and would like to be able to upload audio files to a specific content type. Do I need an additional module? The audio option does not show in the pulldown menu for content types when adding a new field. thanks
