How add a node into drupal database directly.

Hello, Can any one has idea how to add a node into Drupal database directly without using drupal interface? I want to migrate large database into Drupal database and want to create large number of nodes. What things need for this ? Can I use only SQL scripts only? Hi David, You asked for a monitoring solution that will alert you if your site is modified or gets hacked/with malware. You could try http://sucuri.net. That's exactly what it does :) As far as your malware problem, we are seeing a large number of desktop virus stealing FTP/SFTP credentials stored on FTP/SFTP clients. Have you changed your password? Are you running a good AV as well? Hacked Drupal Site

(Not sure if there's a better place to ask this) My Drupal site was hacked recently. index.php was modified at the top to include another file which was a static page with a lot of nonsense about Cialis but also had a nasty <?php eval(gzinflate(base64_decode([string])) ?> at the bottom. I don't know whether it was a Drupal issue: I was running 6.14 and had a couple of modules that were one step behind on upgrading, but nothing that seemed too dangerous. All vistiors to my site are anonymous and can't upload any files etc. My site is hosted on Rackspace Cloud Sites and I use SFTP. I'm not aware of anything dodgy on my local system (Kaspersky doesn't report anything). I've edited index.php and deleted a few files I have found on the site. I've changed my FTP password. Is there anything I can do on a production site to make sure this doesn't happen again? Without knowing where the attack came from I'm a bit concerned. Would copying index.php to (say) front.php, get htaccess to use that as the default page, and create a dummy index.php fool an automated attack? Probably not. Alternatively, does anyone know of a good monitoring service that would text me if a page on a site changes, so at least I know straightaway if this happens again, rather than it being up over a weekend.

Uploaded/linked images not displaying when viewing node(imce/fckeditor)

I am using drupal 6.16 with fckeditor and imce. When I create a node and upload an image using imce or link external images on fckeditor, I am able to view the image. However, when I save the node and diplay it, the image is not showing. This is also happening with custom image blocks Please help.

I would like to be able within a Drupal module's hook do an ajax call to a Java Servlet.

Let me rephrase my question: I currently within the same server have Apache/Drupal and Apache Tomcat/Java. I would like to be able within a Drupal module's hook do an ajax call to a Java Servlet. How would I do this within Drupal version 6? For future reference how would I do this within Drupal version 7? Within a drupal custom module what is a more efficient way for me to detect and fix any php syntax errors?

I wrote my first php code within a newly created drupal module and I got it to work. Initially it was not working (Drupal would not come up) and I did not know what was wrong so started to take out lines until Drupal finally came up and that is how I discovered which line had the syntax error. Once I knew which line it was I fixed the problem and put it back in the code and drupal came up. My question is in the future if I have this problem again where Drupal does not come up because of some php code within a custom module erroring off what is a more efficient way for me to detect and fix any php syntax errors? how do I get ubercart to grant a download after the order status changes from pending to payment received?

Within the ubercart documentation it states the following: Once a customer is granted a download they can go to My account > Files to download the file. If the user generates an order and then the admin user edits the order so that the full cost of the order is paid so that the order balance goes down to 0 and the order status goes from pending to payment received. protecting time sensitive content for X days

I am setting up a subscription site where there will be attachments to each node that are time sensitive...within a couple of days, the info in the attachments is more or less useless. what would be the best way to prevent non-members gaining access to those attachments for a few days. I realise I could make a tpl file and wrap the file attachments div in some sort of conditional php based on date/node creation time. Is there a neater way? Regards Neil
