Blog module.

My theme is Garland. I enabled the Blog Module and created a sample blog post. I notice that I do not have any button, link or other means of accessing blog content. I read that a link should be added to Garland theme when Blog Module is activated but I do not see one. I would like only Admin to be able to write a blog for all other users to read. How can something like this be accomplished? I'm on Drupal 7. Thanks!

moving Drupal 6 web site issue

I have moved sites before this problem, but have never experienced this; I could use some troubleshooting advice. I moved my domain from one hosting service (GoDaddy) to a new hosting service (HotDrupal). This works fine. I moved my website from one hosting service (Hostgator) to a new hosting service (HotDrupal). - I created a new database and a sub-domain called "ported.mywebsite.com" inside of "mywebsite.com/sites". - I ran an import to the new database with the original website's data. - I moved all of the files, from the original website, into the new sub-domain directory. - The settings.php file did not need to be modified except for changing localhost to "127.0.0.1". > Everything works fine and I was able to log in as /user/1 and work on the > website at "ported.mywebsite.com". ** This is where the problem happens. - I moved my website from "ported.mywebsite.com" to "mywebsite.com" on the server ("mywebsite.com" is the domain and "ported.mywebsite.com" is a sub-domain). - I ran an import to the database with "ported.mywebsite.com's" data. - I moved the "sites" directory from "ported.mywebsite.com" replacing " mywebsite.com's" sites directory. I can no longer log in as /user/1. - I told the Drupal application that I could not remember the password and it emailed me a one time log in that did not work. - I modified the password from phpmyadmin by creating a new one and adding MD5 hash. I cannot log in. - I changed a user's rid to administrator (a role I gave all permissions to) and logged in with that username but I was unable to login to the administration menu (even thought it is one of the allowed permissions within the admin role I created). Some pertinent (?) information Old cPanel Version 11.28.83 | Apache version 2.2.17 | PHP version 5.2.15 | MySQL version 5.1.52 New cPanel Version 11.28.76 | Apache version 2.2.16 | PHP version 5.2.14 | MySQL version 5.0.91-50-log .htaccess looks okay. settings.php looks okay. -- Best Regards, James R Stone fndtn357(a)gmail.com "The skill of coding is to create a context in which other people can contribute."

I can't believe after all the information I provided I forgot to explain that part very well. ;) What happens is after logging in with the newly changed password: Sorry, unrecognized username or password. How to show different images on page refresh

Hi All Finally the below code I added to page.tpl.php to show different images at on page refresh. In IE8 it is working fine. Howevr with firefox the image is not shownup. Any clue ? problem with fbconnect logout process in custom theme

Hello all, I have face problem with fbconnect module. This issue is form my custom theme.I have alter the login block to match with my site design. Now when i connect with my facebook account i can connect with my site properly. But when i try to logout from my site at that time i am not going to logout from the facebook. Even i have set from admin that ask to logout from facebook to user. When i use garlend them then its work proper for the signout process I.E at that time it will ask me that would u like to logout from facebook... One more thing if i enable the fast registration process form admin panel then i can not get any registration confirmation mail in my given email address.... I have almost try all the given solution provided by various form.. And even all thing are configured well. And also add the required code in my page.tpl.php , page-front.tpl.php. But still problem with my logout process of custom theme. Please help.. Thanks in advance.

How to show random images

Hi All 1. I debugged further, looks line "$directory = opendir("himg");" is taking lot of time. The himg folder is in same path as that of page.tpl.php. Not sure why ths problem is coming. Any input? 2. I just commented line "$directory = opendir("himg");" and declared an array and harcoded file names. 3. After that I faced the problem with below two lines. header('Content-Type: image/jpeg'); imagejpeg($image); With this it is printing some junk characters in screen and after that it is printing page.tpl.php file. Any suggestions how to get-rid of this problem. Regards, Austin ---------------------- Hi All Thanks for your input. Out of curosity, I just put some PHP code (as shown below in blue and red color) , and independently it is rotating images present in folder "himg" properly. I have a sub-theme myzen (based on Zen theme). I have put page.tpl.php in myzen\templates folder. I added same code to page.tpl.php in head section. When I access site, it takes more time and gets error "Time exceeds" and "SQL server gone away". I need to have users be able to create other users, but I need there to be a hierarchy. So a superuser can create an admin or a user, admins can create only users. Any suggestions for a module, or do I need to do something custom? Thanks in advance for any help. Joel

How to show random image files in webpage

Hi All I would like to show image files (in a random manner) at the top of webpage. I want to have a folder that contains all the image files. Then I want to have a separate php file (say rotate.php) having logic of selecting the random image file. And want to include that rotate.php file from page.tpl.php. To start with, I followed the marinelli view. Used the images and rotate.php (\marinelli\img\banners\rotate.php). Copied to image files and rotate.php to path where my page.tpl.php is present. In page.tpl.php, I added the line include ("rotate.php"); The rotate.php looks as below. On debugging looks *preg_match *line it breaks.
