Select different theme

Hello, Trying to give users in a certain role the ability to change the theme. Very basic 6.20 installation. Checked "select different theme" under the system module permissions for the particular role, but users with that role are not able to change the theme. Access administration pages is also set. Organic Groups

Hi All, I'm new to Drupal and have recently installed Drupal 7 release version and the Organic Groups (OG) module. However, I can't seem to be able to configure permissions and roles to facilitate our access control specifications. I appreciate your help in providing me with a guideline to enable me to satisfy the following access control specifications: Access control should be implemented for a knowledgebase system that facilitates collaborative knowledge management and research in a particular medical domain. 1. Groups need to be created; these groups represent entities with knowledge and expertise in the particular medical domain 2. Every group has an "owner" that can add members to the group 3. The group owner loads/adds patient cases into the knowledgebase as content for the corresponding group 4. Only members of the group can view these contents 5. Contents loaded/added to a group cannot be viewed by members of other groups 6. Members can only add content to the group/s of which they are a member 7. Specific content in a group may need to be visible only to some members of the group 8. Roles assigned to members of a group should be restricted to only that group unless the group owner specifically assigns that role to the user in another group. 9. We would also like to look into enabling members of a group to have access to a subset of contents from another group. Your help is much appreciated. I also looked at using OG User Roles (OGUR) ; however, this module isn't available for Drupal 7. Kind Regards, Sara

Creating Nodes without Node Admin?

I have a D6 site where a certain role should be able to create content profile nodes. I am using Content Permissions, and Taxonomy Access Control Lite. Tac_lite should not be in the way, as the only vocabulary in use on one of my two content profile types, is not one effected by tac_lite. I want users of the "staff" role to be able to create nodes of two content types which are flagged as content profile types. However, just selecting create and edit permissions for that role on those types, does nothing when I view a user. However, enabling Administer Nodes permission for that role, causes the create links for those content types to appear on each user page as viewed by that role. My question is: is granting administer nodes the only way to make this happen? I would really rather this role not be able to change published status, revision options, and so on. I found all kinds of similar problems on google, but many were from 2009 and earlier, and many also went unanswered, although some had twisty solutions that are hopefully not necessary any more. Any solutions for this? Regards, Luke

D7: content type field for url?

I was surprised not to find a default field setting for url when creating a new content type (Drupal 7). Is there a module that would provide this, something equivalent to the date module? Thanks, Ursula

content profile, node auto title, and usernames

Hello I am using content profile to permit admins of a site to store information about users. I have enabled node auto title to provide manditory titles for these content profile nodes. However, I would like to cause the username of the user for whom the node is created, to appear in the node's title, so that views on those nodes will be more helpful, and possibly for other reasons. Basically, I'm trying to do what this guy is trying to do: http://drupal.org/node/868874#content I'm willing to use PHP if necessary to make it happen, but I've no idea how to go about it. File attachment without NID

The below code does file attachement without nid....I want this to be looped..as we get the "File Attachment option " in page content type when we enable the Upload module.. I am trying to do file upload without nid created.... Mutuku, I've had some good success importing custom nodes in D6 with the node_import module. However you may find you need to message the input data a bit, especially if there are special characters embedded anywhere. lost text format and posts

Hi, I disabled a text format in drupal 7, and seem to have lost all my articles. Is there a way to reenable this and get them back? Having gone through the disable one more time, I did read it a bit more carefully this time, and it does say: Disabled text formats are completely removed from the administrative interface, and any content stored with that format will not be displayed. This action cannot be undone I have a bad feeling about this, but surely a disable button implies, there's an enable button somewhere too? Thanks for any help. Ed.

Upload Progress Bar doesn't works in Drupal 7

Hello. I have a Drupal 7 installation with PECL uploadprogress in php. I have selected in "Progress indicator" the option "Bar with progress meter" but when I add content and upload a file, doens't works, only shows "Throbber" What's the problem? Thanks!
