refer/retrieve/save grandparent in child node without parent's node load

Couldn't think of an easier subject line :-) I have three node types A -> B -> C A <- B <- C where A refers B and B refers C (and there's CNR for backwards). Now when displaying content from C, i would want to display A's titles (atleast). Is there a way where I can refer A as well in C because of the reference to B? This so that while displaying C, I don't have to load B's entire content and then retrieve A. C can have unlimited number of references to B. So loading B within C is not such a good idea. I hope you are not at c when reading this :-) All help really appreciated. Regards - Ben

Wierd theme problem

I have never run into this before and have tried everything I can think of. Hopefully someone here has a solution. I have a site that has been upgraded from D5 to D6 (eventually to D7). I chose not to try to upgrade the custom theme as it had way to many shortcomings. So I decided it was closest to the Pixture Reloaded theme, which also has a D7 version already. With a bit of CSS, it looks great and very similar to the old theme. However, when someone views it on an uncustomized FF3, the content area ends up to the right of the right sidebar. Using the zoom (CTRL + or -) one can eventually get the content region back where it belongs. Changing FF to a 12 point default font will also get it right, but zooming out can cause it to happen again. I would have believed this was a FF problem until I used someone else's PC and IE8 where the problem happened in that browser too. I can't reproduce it in Chrome. So now I have to question the theme. It passes validation after I removed the <em> tag from the site-slogan. So there are no broken div's or tables. I have deliberately removed the initial font-size so that the user's browser is in charge. All other font-sizes are relative. Any ideas how to fix this? The only starter theme I have any experience with is Zen, and don't know if I have enough time to build a new sub-theme (maybe one or two days). But I am strongly considering that approach to the problem. Nancy

Page not found error in drupal

Hello All, I have two different website running on drupal 6.0 From last few days I am facing page not found error in 2 different situations for both the website. *For Website 1 -* If I try to add new video using video module, on submitting the page it gives me the error "page not found". I also updated teh site to latest Drupal version with all the modules. But still I am facing the same problem *For Website 2 -* If I try to change any thing in existing node and submit it then it gives error "page not found". Does any one faced same issue? Auto subscribe all users to new forum topics

I must be missing something basic, but I've struggled with this for ages, and the only way I can see to do it is to set the notification in the database manually. But that won't work for new topics as the notification needs the NID which doesn't yet exist. And using a wildcard: forum/* only confused the subscription settings and returned a blank page with no database update. I'm using Forum Access and Notifications modules on D6. If I'm not mistaken OG Notifications can automatically subscribe group members to all forums/content as a basic feature, but I haven't even managed to get that to work either, and have spent hours trawling through the settings. Menu issue with active-trail class

I am using the active-trail class to style main menu items when they are of all things active. The active-trail class is not being inserted into the markup for contact and/or search links which I added manually through the menu screen to the main menu. I found a known issue here http://drupal.org/node/942782. I am wondering if this is what I have or if there might be a workaround. "/admin/build/block": vary the URL of the "Home" link depending on the current page URL

Within the following url "/admin/build/block" I have a region called "Header Top" and within it I have 3 blocks assigned to it. One of the 3 blocks called "primary links" has 6 links and one of those links called "Home" has a URL link to the main page. I would like to vary the URL of the "Home" link depending on the current page URL. How would I implement this programmatically? Thanks, -- John J. Mitchell

How to store/retreive date fields into/from MySql

Hi All I have a date field in my form. How do I store/retreive the value into/from MySQL. On google search, I saw people are suggesting to use either "int" or "datetime" type. Please suggest which one needs to be used. If I use int (I hope core uses int), while storing can I just store "form['values']['date1']" as %d and while retreivin, what are the related apis to convert back to date. Regards Austin.

divert all blog entries to a page

File field and AHAH button not working together

Hi All I am using Drupal 6.20. In a form I have a file field as below. * $form['work']['resume'] = array( '#type' => 'file', '#title' => "Upload Resume", '#description' => 'Browse and select your resume.', '#required' => FALSE, '#size' => 50, );* I have a AHAH button in (in a different division) * $form['skill_set_wrapper']['allskills']['moreskill'] = array( '#type' => 'button', '#value' => t('Add / Remove Domain, Skills'), '#weight' => 1, '#ahah' => array( 'path' => 'resume_submit/form/moreskills', 'wrapper' => 'all-skills', 'method' => 'replace', ), );* In addition to that I have number of fields in my form. If I *do not* browse and slect a file for "file" field, then AHAH button works fine (I can add multiple rows for skill add). If I browse and slect a file for "file" field, then on clicking AHAH button, I get a File download dialog asking "Do you want to save this file or find a program online to open it". Did anybody face this issue previouly. What is the workout to avaoid the file download dialog. Regards Austin
