Drupal 6 computed field

After following the README.txt in the Computed Fields module. ---====--- Computed Code: $node_field[0]['value'] = $node->field_fieldname1[0]['value'] + $node->field_fieldname2[0]['value']; - Check 'Display this field' - Display Format: $display = '$' . $node_field_item['value']; - Check 'Store using the database settings below' - Data Type: float - Data Length: 10,2 - Default Value: 0.00 - Check 'Not NULL' - Check 'Sortable' ---====---- I set up one content type "Calculate Total" containing one calculated field which displays $0. This has me puzzled as there are 6 values each in field_fieldname1 and field_fieldname2. What code should I be using to display the sum of the 2 fields. and display fieldname1 \ 1.101 I can do the calculation in mysql but not in drupal. I feel there should be more code but haven't a clue what to look for or how to implement it. Thanks in advance Roger

stats counter not showing in a View of teasers

I have a content type I made today. I use template files to create the full node and teaser outputs. For the node counter I use: <?php print check_plain($node->links['statistics_counter']['title']) ?> this works perfectly on all other types of content, in full node view and in teasers, including Views of teasers. For some reason, the new node type isn't showing the node counter when its teaser is in a View. When I look at the teaser elsewhere, for example on a taxonomy listing, it shows! It also shows on full node view. So something about the View is preventing the node counter showing. I've gone through all the settings 20 times and can't see what's different. I have plenty of other Views showing teasers across the site and they all have the node counter on. I can't wait to see what utter stupidity I've done this time! Neil

Problems Rebuilding Content Permissions

Drupal (6.20) recently prompted me to rebuild content access permissions. This occurred after installing the Taxonomy Access Control Lite module. When I follow the provided link, there's a prompt warning that rebuilding permissions may take a while with yes/no option to continue. Confirming the rebuild goes to {drupal_installation}/batch?op=start&id=28. This screen shows a bar that says "Initializing". This screen stays like that forever with no sign of progress nor any error messages (at this point, I'm reasonably comfortable calling 72+ hours "forever"). It seems extremely likely to me that this rebuilding process is not working. As such: 1. Is there any alternate way that I can rebuild permissions? 2. Is there any way that I can turn on more verbose output to figure out what's going wrong? 3. Anything else I can check (.htaccess/host issues, configuration settings, etc)? If it's relevant, I have currently ~50 content nodes and 6 roles.

Grouping pre-body sections

<:avglsdata id=avglsdata> I ned to add a wrapper around the $node->content sections that precede (i.e. are weighted above) the body The node.tpl.php is too late. Hook_nodeapi() is too early. So it sounds like module_preprocess_node() is probably where it will be. However, the sections don't seem to have been sorted yet. Does anyone have any great ideas on how to wrap those sections? I haven't looked yet to see if there might be a pre-render function. Looking for quick and easy solutions preferably. This is for D6 for now. How to add a coulmn to displayed table dynamically?

Hi All In my custom module, I do a SQL query. After the query is done, I want to add a coulmn to query result. In that new coulmn I wan to put a "Details" link, if user clicks on "Details" link, user should be able to see a new pop-up dialog page containing more data about the searched record. A website for every user

Hi, I'd like to setup a single installation of drupal on my website example.com so that every user can have a subdomain at user1.example.com. it would also be great if they could map their own custom domain (user1site.com)to this Drupal site. Basically what they would get is a Drupal site where they could have their own nodes at user1.example.com/node......... and theri own users. They could activate plugins which I install on the main site as and when they need. Are there any modules which could help me with this or perhaps a tutorial. Best way to include complex PHP in nodes/pages

We're converting a multidomain, multilanguage site over to Drupal 6. We have a number of existing pages that make heavy use of PHP (while some of these could (with work) be converted over to use things like Feeds + Views + CCK, some can't, plus the code already exists). What's the easiest way to include these scripts, assuming that they may want to live in different menus in different languages, and that we want these pages to also work like other pages on our site (e.g. to be able to flag translations as out of date, use Rules to send emails when flagged, show up in Views etc). [And we want things like the code under source control] Using hook_menu to create a MENU_CALLBACK seems to mean we couldn't treat them like other pages (have translators easily edit titles/content, use Views/Rules etc) - it also seems to require some work to have the menu path itself be translated (without creating multiple versions) Using hook_nodeapi to add the PHP to the node only works if it is always at the end (or beginning) of any content (so a page like [french intro]$PHP_CODE[french outro] wouldn't work). Using the PHP filter to include a file works, but means I'd need to give translators the right to use PHP, which isn't a complete no-no (they're all employees at least) but is something I obviously want to avoid if possible. The best solution I've come up with so far is creating a custom filter that replaces a keyword/token with a file/function so translators/editors would add {{ZIP_LOCATOR_SCRIPT}} to their page and the relevant code would get included. Is this overthinking it? Is there a better way?

Views Output as Link/Custom Field Handler

In my view I have a number of fields. One of these fields uses the Output As Link option. This works fine. However, I only want it to be a link if certain criteria is met - so, for example, if the field "sold_online" is true, then the field "price" should be a link to the online shop, while if "sold_online" is false, then the price should not be a link. What's the easiest way to do this? Write a custom field handler that extends what? Is it views_handler_field_url? In a custom handler, how do I check for the value of another field (assuming "sold_online" comes before "price" in my list of fields)? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and there's something much simpler I should do (for example, using theming?). (And is there a handbook page or anywhere where you can find a list of other people's custom view handlers?)
