One role per user

Hello Guys, I am planning to allow some users to add users to the site. The only concern is I want them to select only one user role, so, instead of a checkboxes, i want a select list or radio buttons. It can be achieved via form alter, but just wanted to know if there is any module available for this I am also assuming authenticated role is already assigned so we have assign only custom made roles. URL weirdness

I am trying to login to my site. After I hit login I get a 404. The Url is changed to http://foo/bar*/bar*/mysitename/node?destination=node Somehow the second *bar* is getting inserted into the URL. (I used backup and migrate to back it up every day but can not start the *restore *as far as I know. ) Looked in the .htaccess and all is the same. Interesting that we should have two very different experiences with the same products. Wish I could peep over your shoulder as you worked one and then the other. I find CodeIgnighter to speak a language I already know. Where as with Drupal, I am lost. I have tried on and off for two years now, 6 & 7, and I just don't get it. Wish I did. To do what I want, I find I have to do endless work a-rounds and overrides. For me, it is just so much easier to write my own php, jQuery, and talk directly with my database. Wish I did get Drupal. States have 1 or more Towns/Cities Town/Cities have 1 or more Venues Venue can have only one Town/Location and one State. I'm exploring taxonomy for this, it has some advantage. I have no content type but 3 taxonomy vocabularies: State Town/Location Venue Taxo terms are the states of Australia Taxo terms for Town/locality are the Towns were events are held, couple of hundred or so. Taxo terms for Venue are the names of each venue with 2 additional fields, one for Town/Location and one for State. These are Term References to the above vocabularies with all the new terms already added. I put an image in the body field but this could also contain a link to the google thingy you were discussing. So when creating a taxo term for a venue I can select it's locality and state, an image, a link or url. HINTS: -- I set up a special menu in a sidebar block so I could select which taxonomy vocab to add terms to without going thru menu structures. I can switch it off when not needed. -- use cck to insert images or set the filter below the body field to Full HTML, Select Source> and code the url yourself. -- make sure your permissions are correct or it won't work. -- use the search in Views to isolate the taxonomy terms from content. I set up a View to show Taxonomy Terms [not content] and in that created a block to display the field output. I put the block in sidebar 2 and when an item is clicked it shows the info from the other terms and the body info. In Address View> Fields I have: Taxonomy term:Name Taxonomy term:Street Details Taxonomy term:Locality/Town Taxonomy term:State [State should be the very last field in the view] Click on State> Rewrite Results> Rewrite the Output of this field: From Replacement Patterns choose [field_taxo_streetdetails] [field_taxo_locality_1] [field_taxo_venu_state] your names may be different. I always use field_taxo_name to easily differentiate taxonomy types from other content types. Apply all displays. Click on Taxonomy term:Street Details> Exclude fom Display Click on Taxonomy term: Locality/town> Exclude fom Display Save You should now have Venue on one line and full address and state on the second line. Each will have a link to the original Taxonoy Term and you can switch of the links as needed. Tweak it -experiment- it isn't perfect but it's a start. Others may comment on how to use rules or what ever to display different google maps per selection, that's out of my realm. Roger

Apologies for top posting but you are looking at the screen output after you save the input form, It is awful and difficult to change. Install views, set up a View to manage the output of the form, you can make it look great in a View. There is a well hidden trick in views. It displays content automatically, in that you cannot change anything, so you need to select view fields and then add each field you want to see. Views is a whole other learning process but worth the effort. To my mind screen presentation of an input form save should be easily managed without the need to go the extra step and make a view. As you said, you can fix a problem in codeIgnighter in a matter of minutes. So, why do you not want to use codeIgnighter? It is not an admission of failure to use the quicker and easier to use tool. How to use same CSS as thta of Navigation Menu in Custom Menu Blocks

Hi All I am using Drupal 6.20. Theme I use is "marinelli\alagna". I have two problems. Please let me know how can I fix those. 1. When I access page "?q=user" , I get a page having two textfield one for user name and other for password. The width of these two text fileds are looking different (user field width looks more). Checked the code, looks in code for both these textfields are having same length (60). This is I am observing with IE8. However when I use firefox both these fields width looks same. Please suggest what to do so that both in IE8 and Firefox the width for both user name and password fields look same. 2. The look and feel of Navigation menu is much better than other custom menu-blocks. I have a custom menu-block, where I have parent menus leaf menus etc. In Navigation menu block, parent menu's left icon is a small arrow tip, leaf menu's left icon is a small circle. In Custom menu block, parent menu's left icon is a small circle, leaf menu's left icon is a small circle. I want to see Custom menu block's parent menu's left icon as an arrow tip. Please suggest what should be done. Regards Austin

It seems to me that using CodeIgnighter would be easer, much easier. But maybe that is just me.
