What is truncating the cache and session tables? I don't know about this! I ran <Clear Cache> a couple of times but find that it's not a good as Drush at clearing the Caches. I'll be happier when they get Drush working on Fedora 16. Fixed the Blank Browser issue, I think it was a fault in httpd.conf in Fedora not recognising php. Roger

geolocation and location

Hi, I like the user experience of Geolocation Field module, but it lacks of geolocation search and of the possibility to display a lot of nodes on the same dynamic googlemap ( with Gmap and Location modules I can have it! ). Can I have this features with Geolocation Field? Or have I to made a gmap submodule to use it with geolocation? Thanks Alfredo DM

Go to page after downloading a file

I'm trying to add a thank you page after downloading a file to my website at http://www.mothsoftware.com. Because I wasn't able to find a solution within Drupal I added a JavaScript that I found (see below). The script itself works, but the page reloads every few seconds. How do I prevent this? Using Drupal 6.22 with Safari on Mac OS 10.7. Moving tables

If have 2 virtually identical drupal 7 installs, moeules, themes, etc and I develop for instance a rules set, some taxonomy sets and a few cck fields on my pc, is there any way of just sending only those changes to the server instead of completely dumping the database. Thanks Roger

I played in Fedora 16 fresh install last night trying to understand the Drupal 7.10 - 7.12 issues and7.12 is fine - provided- that the install is done manually, ie manually copying over everything except the /sites folder. During experimentation I uncovered another gotcha that I do not yet understand. brief example: mysqldump a working database Create an empty database in mysql with the same name user and password as the mysqldump file. mysql -uroot -p newdatabase < old.sql to recreate the database. After installing Drupal with a dummy database, install all the modules and themes as per the original. All works fine. Go to settings.php and change the database, username and password to the installed mysqldump database and the new installation starts with the mysqldump database. At least that's how it has worked for me previously. However with the sandpit Fedora 16 site, all I get is a blank browser, regardless of whether both or either drupals are set to maintenance mode or not. More testing today Cheers Roger

Finding the template used by a view

Hi, I have one view for which I have to alter how the content is displayed. In my case I have a list of recipes and for each one I have to add a "see inside" text with the proper link. Right now the link already exists for the title. I've found the view but not where how it is displayed. Sorry the newbie but the original developer left without giving me the documentation. Regards.

Yep I had both server sites in maintenance mode but I did not do so with the home sites, I wanted to see if it crashed the sites. I too mysqldump routinely. Problem is, because the drush up corrupted the drupal 7.12 install there is no way to update.php, both were dead. My curiosity is that it had no effect on my home setup but destroyed the remote server drupal set up. Google drupal 7.12 and find the drupal.org/node/1425104 - posts dated 2nd Feb 2012 posted by webchick discuss the 7.12 problems. I found this too late. Roger

Difficulty creating content

Note, I have discovered a workaround with which I can live in the process of writing this email. I've decided to complete the email so that someone else having a like problem might find this. I have created a new site using a codebase shared with others. I have created two input formats General All roles may use default format configure Wiki authenticated user, Committee configure delete For some time I was fixated on these being at the heart of my problem, but it's not so. I have created a user account, santa, with no special permissions, but then created the roles Committee (which you see there) and Power, with permission to do everything. Using another browser, SeaMonkey 1.1.14, I logged on as Santa and created a blog entry. I have subsequently editted it a few times. The first problem I noticed is that the menu for "Input format" does not expand. Some time later I saw that "Attached Images" and "Book Outline" do not expand either. While composing this email, I logged onto another of my sites, one where I have created content successfully in the past and discovered the same problem. My conclusion is that the version of Seamonkey I am using is incompatible with Drupal 6.x. I do have Javascript enabled Just possibly, the problem arises because I have denied cookies: while loading the page in question, I get two messages on the Seamonkey error console. -- Cheers John Summerfield.
