Hi, While I was trying to edit a front banner view, the following errors come up. An error occurred at /admin/build/views/ajax/display/Front_Banner/default/style_plugin. Pass arguments to hook_block

Hello, I'm developing a module to show data related to actual node on a block. It's working and now I need to pass arguments to the block, is it possible? Something like an integer that comes form a select list. If it's not possible what's the way to do this? Thank's for all your work. Pol

Blocks from menu

I have a number of views blocks. Each has Views Bulk Operations for approval of the content. All are displaying on one approvals page. I would like to be able to select one block at a time from a menu in Sidebar First and display only that selection on the page. It's got me stumped at the moment how to get menu to display blocks. Can anyone help please Thanks in advance Roger

drupal upgrades? automated?

Dear All, Recently I got an email from my drupal 7.10 site informing me that there was an update available to version 7.12. The link took me to a pink hued page where I was told that it was advisable to correct a security problem by upgrading to 7.12. I am then informed that there is no automated upgrade, but that instructions are available to manually back up files and databases then carry on with a manual upgrade. I see this as a real issue with the design of Drupal. It is all very well to find vulnerabilities and announce them, with fixes, but if there is no simple, automated way to apply the fixes there will inevitably be a lot of unpatched cms's out there running outdated and known-vulnerable versions of Drupal. The developers may, for all I know, be working hard on an automated update and patch mechanism. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Am I doomed to continue manually applying security fixes as long as I persist with Drupal? I dumped Win95 a long time ago and have really no wish to regress this way. HI All Could you tell me module for this? Create ability to dynamically create an HTML newsletter that pulls content from various areas of theCMS. Newsletter can then be sent through the mail blaster and concurrently archived to thewebsite. Newsletter will also have ad slots that share common sizes with the main site.

Determine if comments have replies

I have a need to determine if comments have replies. This is what I've come up with to make this determination, but I would rather find a way that doesn't require an additional database query per comment. function theme_preprocess_comment(&$variables) { $comment = $variables['elements']['#comment']; $count = db_query('SELECT COUNT(*) FROM {comment} WHERE pid = :cid', array(':cid' => $comment->cid))->fetchField(); $comment->has_children = !empty($count); } I can see that theme_preprocess_node has access to the entire array of comments in its $variables argument when displaying it with print_r. The issue is I can't seem to figure out how to loop over the comments so that I could check for a value in the pid field and add a has_children => TRUE to the parent comment's array.
